So the History Channel is doing a three part miniseries on General Grant.

Grant Full Episodes, Video & More | HISTORY

It’s produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, who did an excellent job on another history miniseries, The Men Who Built America: Frontiersmen.

I watched the first episode last night, and I enjoyed it immensely.

Is anyone else watching this? What does everyone think?

I am. I've enjoyed what I've viewed so far.
Onward to part two night!

Grant's wife owned slaves, though Grant himself wasn't a fan of slavery.

He was broke at one point and he decided he'd earn money by writing a memoir about the Civil War. It didn't sell until Mark Twain intervened.

Many say he's the worst president ever. Probably not as bad as Trump, though.

I saw part of it last night, and that was enough for me to record the series.
It looks like it was well done. Grant is a rather strange figure, who found so little success in life,
but somehow managed to be one of the great battlefield commanders.

He certainly wasn’t the “worst president ever”; that would be James Buchanan.

Grant’s main flaw as president was the fact that he was too willing to see the good in his friends(who turned out to be crooks).

I've watched the first 2 episodes and have enjoyed them both very much. Of course I'm a huge Civil War buff.

We have watched the first two episodes. I have learned a few things about Grant. That being said, they could have shortened this offering by at least half.
