Haftar controls most of the country, and both sides mostly have Russian made equipment because that’s what Libya has been buying for the past forty years.

Who is this Pugabe you keep babbling about?

And the Pantsir is an anti aircraft weapon. What does that have to do with a city/state that no longer exists?

Sorry, don't believe it. UAE did send that system down there, but 1 has been destroyed, and an unknown number have been captured by the GNA when they took over the Al-Watiya Air Base.


However, there is a civil war going on between the Libyan National Army (which the UAE supports), and the Government of National Accord. There are no such thing as "Haftars", it is the Libyan National Army, or LNA. And he is not some kind of terrorist leader, he is the Commander of the Libyan Army, appointed to that position by the Libyan House of Representatives.

A former refugee who fled under a death sentence during the Gadaffi era, he moved to the US and became a US citizen before returning. And he has been an active participant in fighting the General National Congress, a group that for a brief time after the first Civil War took power, but was fundamentalist Islamic and horribly corrupt. And the House of Representatives is still the legal body of that country, the GNC is trying to replace it but has little recognition.

So I have to wonder, why are you shilling for Fundamentalist Islamist Extremists, who are attacking the legitimate government? And both sides use SOviet and Russian made equipment, so what? Are you going to blast the other side because they use them also?

As usual, your horribly researched posts make absolutely no sense, and are not even good propaganda.

And the UAE is in no way in the control of the Russians. The UAE is one of those countries that will buy equipment from whoever will provide it, including the US, Russians, French, and British. Just because I buy a radio made in China, that does not make me a Sinophile.

The pantsir s1 has been destroyed before, it is a very good system but is also fairly cheap compared to other systems. The pantsir is often equated with the s-400 system but is also a stand alone system, designed to handle low flying cruise missiles, drones, and low flying attack helicopters, it's design and point was to counter them while defending vital areas especially anti aircraft systems like the s-400.

Now in syria israel and turkey took out more than a few, they are not invulnerable, and arab incompetence adds to injury. The first system israel knocked out they even released video, they did not believe the system was even active as the entire crew was outside of it, pointing to poor doctrine being failure not the equipment, ie in that case the s1 was in the open, easy to spot, and no crew had it ready meaning if anything fired at it the crew would not have time to respond.


Such acts like that make any air defense useless, it was also shown with french air defense systems as well as american systems like the hawk, the system only works as well as the people operating them, and in all cases none of those air defense systems stop a ground invasion.
