You obviously don't understand how pandemics function.

The seasonal flu has a R[sub]0[/sub] (R-naught) value of 1.3. If you contract the flu you will most likely infect one other person and so on.

COVID has a R[sub]0[/sub] value of 5.8. If you contract COVID you will most likely infect 6 others and each of those 6 will infect another 6 and so on.

Do the math. It is an exponential progression. 6/36/216/1,296/7,776. In less than one week all 7,000 sailors on CVN-71 could have been exposed to and contracted COVID.

A couple of problems with that analysis. If COVID is so infectious, why didn't all the crew members catch it? I mean using shared latrines, shared mess, constant close contact. Second, COVID is not considered dangerous among this demographic. This is proven out by only 6 out of 7,000 requiring hospitalization. If they had a flu outbreak on board would you expect the same. Third if COVID is more infectious than the flu why have over 35 million American been infected with the flu and only 1.5 million have caught the COVID virus? That is with over half the country having been vaccinated for the flu. The math seems to tell a different story.

10 Navy officers received Crozier's email and someone leaked the attachment. Who did so has never been established.

The Navy Board of Inquiry has recommended reinstating Capt. Brett Crozier to his previous position on CVN-71.

Kinda blows your "blame the captain" gambit out of the water.
