Raymond Sworn In as First Space Force Chief

"Separate but equal."

I know people chuckle over this issue, but space is being militarized......... (China Russia)

The technology advancements of satellites will make it harder and harder to hide our subs.

And then, you have the killer satellite development going on at the same time.

I agree, which is why the Air Force has had a Space Command since 1982.

When does ‘air’ become ‘space?’

Guns in space. It had to happen. I remember when the Soviet Union threatened to put nukes in space. They were deterred when we told 'em that if they orbited nukes, we'd control them, which at that time, was true. There just wasn't anything quite like firing off a bunch of nukes in space, only to find they're headed right back for you. On the bright side, it saved the USSR a lot of money which they truly needed for potatoes.

"Outer space does not begin at a definite altitude above the Earth's surface. However, the Kármán line, an altitude of 100 km (62 mi) above sea level,[7][8] is conventionally used as the start of outer space in space treaties and for aerospace records keeping. The framework for international space law was established by the Outer Space Treaty, which entered into force on 10 October 1967. This treaty precludes any claims of national sovereignty and permits all states to freely explore outer space. Despite the drafting of UN resolutions for the peaceful uses of outer space, anti-satellite weapons have been tested in Earth orbit."

Lazy post; at least edit out the Wikipedia footnote references...........if all you can do is copy & paste.

Just another multi-billion bonanza for the MIC. More of our taxpayer money flushed down the bottomless commode.

Get with the program; this flush is UP!

Dunno but Trump's arse was just named a planet. The new general said he could see it from space.

Lindsay Graham discovered it btw. While they were a pair golfing together. It was one of those accidents of discovery science.

Graham retired from USAF Reserve a couple of years ago as a JAG colonel. The heroic Graham volunteered for Iraq where he did Chair Force legal stuff behind a desk inside a fortress for a whole year. Got several medals of course.

Trump & Graham = Air & Space.

The first uniforms have appeared!

Why are they camo? :doh:lamo

I'm not opposed to the concept of Space Force...I just wish they had a better name for it.

And if it is supposed to be an independent arm of the military, why does it still answer to the Air Force? Don't get me wrong, it should as the Air Force has the established authority over space operation since the 80's. It just seems confusing.
