Reality is Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for remembering and honoring the military personnel who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

This isn't rocket surgery. While Memorial Day was created with the purpose of remembering the fallen, it has become a more widely representative holiday to include remembering all of those who have left us behind both in a timely fashion and in an untimely manner.

When will the conservative movement RELAX and return to reality?

Most Americans dont see it the way you do. Its a Military holiday for most. In fact you are the first person I have seen describe the holiday differently then what most all agree its for.

First going through the posts on this thread shows that you are the one who is insulated. I would suggest you show the post that agrees with you on this subject, as I am yet to see one. Maybe I missed it.

And not only is Memorial Day a general day of remembrance for all that were close to us and have passed on, but it is also one of the busiest travel days. Here in New England, the highways heading to Cape Cod and Maine are jammed with cars as families open their summer cottages, rentals, or just plain travel to the shore.

Meanings evolve. Holidays mean different things as time passes. If you're stuck with the conventional, original, meanings of holidays, fine and good. However, most are not.

Don't ask him to confirm anything. It seems to me that the entire reason he is here is to vent his spleen at Conservatives, and attack anybody that does not agree with him. Meanwhile providing no evidence to back his claim other than he is right and everybody must agree with him.

I have seen 2 year olds with more of an ability to debate.
