I just found this cool.

And that is unclassified footage! Amazing amount of tonnage being pushed around.

And that’s all we shall say about that!

I got to be on the Eisenhower when it did some turns like like, in a workup after refitting. Kinda neat seeing it from the outside.

LOL I cant believe they named a carrier after him...

Yeah, kinda seems like it should be falling over or something.

Looks like fun...unless you're in a starboard berth and have to chase all your stuff over to one on the port side.

Changing satirical for nautical?

Try eating on the mess decks when the ship is rolling. My second cruise we went from the gulf, to a NATO exercise of the coast of Norway, and went through real bad weather getting there(when waves are breaking over the bow of a carrier, it is really bad weather). Walking through the mess decks, you had to dodge the tables that where sliding from one side of the deck, over to the other, then back again.

The only ship close to that size I have been on is the Missouri and it wasn't going anywhere but I seem to recall the tables being fixed to the floor.

I did notice that they had all the Chief's coffee mugs locked down tight, however.

That cracked me up!

Though as I think of it, our chief's coffee mugs where always locked down, tightly, right in the chief's hands.

They had a shelf in the Chief's mess with a rail to keep them in and a glass door to keep them from falling out.

During rough seas, I used to put marbles inside the lips of some of the racks for the slobs of our berthing.

The marbles would roll and smack both ends of the rolled over lips driving my victims crazy and keeping them up all night. I would hear them getting up 2-3 times a night, emptying their racks looking for what ever was making the noise.

I bet I know where the marbles came from!

We had one guy in the shop who got kinda queasy in rough seas, so we would hand a pencil from a string down from the overhead, and take bets on how long it would take him to have to go puke. He did not think it was nearly as funny as we did.

LOL my thoughts exactly- running aground or capsizing...

He played college football at Michigan, are your athletic achievements as strong as his?

You ever see a chief without a coffee mug?

Straw meet man.

You posted a stereotype, I asked if you were as talented. And you have an issue with that, perhaps you shouldn't perpetuate misleading histories.

Thats the second stupid remark youve said in this thread. With your silly logic you must think only billionaires can comment about Trump, yet youve done so. Are you a billionaire?

No, and my comments have nothing to do with djt's stereoptype, I use specific examples of his stupidity and incompetence. You repeat a SNL skit.
