[W:95]Infantry Shoulder Rope

Ummmm

No.

I didn't even mention it until after you cried repeatedly.

Please don't embarrass yourself any more.

Are you ok? Did someone through sand against the wall and say "hit the beach" and you knocked yourself out?

You LD'ed already? Charlie Mike?

Roger and out.

I'm not gonna get between the Army and the Marines on this one considering the particular belligerents engaged in the firefight.

All I know is my scorecard's showing I got a split decision going on at this point.

On the one hand I wouldn't want to be the guy who did the insult cause you got potentially 165,000 po'd Marines comin at you in a righteous cause.

On the other hand you've landed some good ones with your past couple of fire and maneuver tactics.

Jus sayin I am, being a bystander in this one and all.

I have plenty more where those came from.

Damn... The Army gives decorations for everything...

That blue cord cost me about a billion mosquito bites, more blisters than I can count, 2 fractured vertebrae, one really hellacious scar, and a permanently injured right knee, so I don't feel as if it was just "for anything".

Marines don't need a rope to tell them which job they do. Nor do they need multiple patches to tell them what unit they belong to. Nor a colored beanie to remind them where they stand in the pecking order.

One designator says it all. Eagle Glode and Anchor.

:)

Yeah, my son was a marine. Having been to visit him and having seen how marine bases operate and the general morale level, I wish I had joined the marines instead.

The blue rope isn't there to compete with marines, though. It is there to inspire hatred in POGs.

Nobody has a higher body count than you do at the selected threads you choose to drop in and post to.

One poster here has already been confirmed, given he's advised us he took his hit like the trooper he is.

So anyway, in the 26 IR and the cord you got to wear, and because I'm a lousy conversationalist, what's the primary color and what's the piping color. I don't doubt what you say about this one so just call me curious.

But yet when the Marines finally decided to stand up their own SOF force the gave them their own flair.

I wonder why that is.

Yeah but every SF group out there likes to do their own thing.

Part of what makes them "special".
