Withdrawal Symptoms | Foreign Affairs

History repeats itself people. we are not going to solve the middle east problems thru a perpetual war.

We live in a free country and as such, our service men are free to join the Kurds as civilians and fight with them against the Turks.

I do not agree that every single serviceman believes the same thing as this man. I do not disagree with this man and I am sorry for his personal perspective.

I would like to here from a large sample of servicemen before making any judgement on any topic. My guess is that most servicemen enlisted are tired of the perpetual wars and tours into areas fighting over yards of land.

Think about it people, They are fight over 20 miles of land. If the international community would all stand up and stand on the border, define the board and possibly put a wall on the border, maybe, just maybe the killings would stop.

Not attacking. Just asking questions in response to this appeal to emotion from the NYT.

Oh, and I'm not sitting on the couch. You? Couch?

yeah, just throwing it out aren't you. this guy "could" be a bad soldier (says the internet republican who is protecting a dirty dude who made a huge mistake which then cost a ton of allies their families).

just throwing it out there folks. just like Rush and Sean.

these followers have learned so well.

They are legitimate questions, in light of the appeal to emotion the NYT is pushing.

It doesn't report anything. There are no facts. Just suppositions.

Since that is the case, my questions are relevant.

yeah, just go on and question this soldier's service now that he's back from training our allies to fight for us AND said one thing you don't like about your favorite Real Estate dude. that's the Rush/Sean way.

republicans aren't "Pro" Military. they are "Pro" attaching who they want, when they want. and, now, they're "Pro" leaving our allies to be slaughtered.

enjoy the tube today.

I'm questioning the appeal to emotion from the NYT that lacks any facts, by asking relevant questions.

The issue is not about me.

"Perhaps Capt. Kennedy didn't do his job very well?"

come on dude. at least own your mud slinging.

I am in full agreement with the captain. When he raised his right hand, he swore to obey the legal commands of those appointed over him. Up to now Trump hasn’t issued any illegal orders

All I am pointing out is there will be consequences for going on the record. Rock/hard place......
Also his video shows him in uniform while espousing his opinion and he did not expressly state that his opinion did not reflect the opinions of the military. Im pretty sure both of those things are court marshalable offenses.

Stanley McCrystal at least had a 30+ year career and O-10 retirement to fall back on. The captain is most likely nowhere near retirement.

I sincerely doubt you were the same way when the chuds in the military were openly disrespecting President Obama when he was in office.
You can not openly criticize your commanders when your serving in the military. Its part of serving.

You should ask questions. However the facts in this case, leaving Syria, are there for the whole world to see. Those facts are that America can't be counted on, or trusted.

That doesn't seem to be the case at all, but I know that is the story the new war hawks are trying to sell.

And why do you say that isn't the case?

You claimed: "... America can't be counted on, or trusted."

"America" spends more money on military deployments and support than any other country in the world. It does that today, and will be doing that tomorrow.

So your claim isn't true in the slightest.

How many troops were pulled out? How many other countries have boots on the ground there?

I'm not swayed at all by your comments. Trump has set up a pattern of pulling out of, abandoning, one international effort after another. The world has watched that over the last 2 years. In fact that is why Turkey felt confident in initiating this operation in the first place.

OK.

I'm not swayed by your comments either.

Have fun.

Only inferior soldiers get killed?

Of course not.

But what was the Captain doing there? Wasn't it to train the Kurdish soldiers how to defend themselves?

Does Captain Kennedy believe they can't? It would appear so.

Or it could be that he thinks he's a failure? See I can make silly assumptions too.
