The kurds in general fight like shia militias and the taliban, with unit cohesion and squad level tactics rather than cowardly swipes the average sunni group tries. They can fight and even if they lose they will not lose easy, in afrin it took turkey 2 months to take the area despite many of the kurds evacuating to other areas in the region.

They are not stupid, infact the kurds love using not just squad tactics but battlefield maneuvers like the pincer, rather than other middle eastern fighters who just like suicide bombings.
