What do you think of the British Military throughout its history.

They fought to create an empire till they met some determined Americans.

They peaked after the revolution not before, and them losing to the colonies actually made the british empire more powerful than weaker. One of the biggest killers of the british was logistics, they had to supply their troops across the atlantic, ships were easy to sink and a starving and demoralized army was about as good as dead. The am,ericans had their own local logistics chain which gave them a heft advantage.

After the war britain revamped their logistics into what is now modern logistics, even the us system copied their logistics, the british would use colonies and friendly nations as logistics points to transport goods worldwide which allowed them to sustain efforts even in hostile territory by eliminating the need of mass travel, but rather food was sourced in multiple ports as was weapons and ammo, allowing re supply to be possible in short notice and more local to the conflict.
