Don’t Fear the "Russian" Military, the country is in no position to wage a real conflict.

Call of Duty or Medal of Honor
No. The ones that were used to clear rooms and made in 43, 44 and 45
You want to post lame, have at it. Only so much ordinance could be delivered to the front line troops. And they had to cut back on the rifle rounds to enable the sub machine gunners to fire their weapons.

Rifle rounds were different from Assault Rifle rounds which were different from Sub Machine Gun round...

And no, none were interchangeable.

I never said they were. The supply situation was so severe that food rations were skipped in favor of ammo. And the weight moved would mean the sub machine gun ammo took away the volume of rifle ammo.

Re-read your WWII magazines. They interview people who fled the Russians advances.

I think you need to re read ww2 history, as well as pre and post modern logistics before you comment any further as you seem clueless on the subject.

Re: Don’t Fear the "Russian" Military, the country is in no position to wage a real conflict.

MG-43,44 and 45s were highly sought after if the ammo was available. Stories of retreating units having about 30 shots between them aren’t that rare.

Those are also machine guns, not sub-machine guns.

And other than select groups in third world countries, nobody has used them in over 60 years.

All those you listed used rifle cartridges. A sub-machine gun uses a pistol cartridge.

The former is also generally gas operated, the latter uses blowback most of the time for it's operation.

You are talking about over 70 years ago.

How about at least sticking to the last half of the last century?

The Russians did the same thing to the Georgians they did to the Germans. Smother you with arty. When they sicken of it, they’ll mass their tanks with infantry right behind them.

We did not get our asses kicked in Iraq an Afghanistan. Yes, we had setbacks and casualties but we did not get our asses kicked.

Correction...you are still getting your asses kicked in Iraq and Afghanistan.
