Russia has held military drills yearly, some quite big, however vostok this year is to be huge, with around 300k soldiers and over 1k tanks plus numerous other equipment. Add to this russia just finished an sco drill with russia china india and pakistan all participating, how russia got india and pakistan on the same field is a mystery. But russia also currently has a massive training excersise in the mediterrainian by syria, and has around quite a few ships and advanced aircraft including tu-160 strategic bombers.
Normally this would raise an eyebrow, however they are holding them one after another, which makes me wonder if they are feeling scared of nato at this point or they are flexing their muscle showing off, either way when you can expend 300k soldiers for a training excersise it is not a simple matter to overlook.
