Of course he does, he was career military before entering the civilian side.

In the military, there is a prohibition on what is known as "personal servitude". That means having somebody else act as your servant. Yes, somebody may be a Sergeant Major, or Captain, or General. But they still have to clean their own room, carry their own luggage, and prepare their own uniform. Nobody does that for them (unless it is a service provided to all people, like the laundry service on a ship).

But this has not a damned thing to do with the "current administration", such things have been going on for well over 100 years.

Just last month, a Marine General was relieved because of that very thing.

Now it probably seems unusual on the Civilian side of government, because using aids and staff in that way on that side is all to common. And Mad Dog's apparent refusal to take advantage of such perks is probably infuriating some because he is refusing to do what they have been doing for decades.
