Why the Army picked Austin for Futures Command

No one asked you for your pronouncement on liberals and the military.
Seeing as how you're not a liberal, you have neither the right nor invitation to speak for them, and your constant campaign to impugn the patriotism of liberals is disgusting and despicable.

I speak for liberals often, because I can.

Liberals despise the military.

I do not think it is despise, so much as do not give a damn about.

Unless they can be used for some political reason of course.

And the farther to the Left such an individual goes, the more likely that will happen. I actually have a fair amount of trust and respect for the more moderate Liberals, but in general behave towards the more radical ones the same way I treat the more radical Conservatives.

From as far away as possible, if they can not be avoided that is.

After all, it was a Democratic Presidential candidate that told us "You know, education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don't, you get stuck in Iraq."

In my experience, to a large number (not all ) of "liberals", the military is to be ignored, unless it can be used to make political points.

Liberals despise the military.

That is one of the most outrageous statements that any poster has ever made on Debate Politics.

To say that liberals despise the Military, when untold hundreds of thousands or more liberals paid the ultimate price for this grateful Nation, is the most disgraceful thing any American could ever say about our Veterans.

Given all the whining we have seen of late from tech companies about supplying services to Americas government you might reconsider your position.

Who's side are they on?

No, it's hardly the most outrageous. In fact, how liberals have behaved since Trump started a run for the Presidency, has seen far more outrageous things. You're just putting me to sleep.

I think as a group, as a constituency, they despise the military. Seems every single time we make one of them President, they try to ruin the military both socially and financially.

maybe not honestly or acuralty but he can

Oh, I think it's pretty accurate. They love group think, no matter how much they try to deny it. They even run around in groups on this site bashing conservative posters. It's like the same usual suspects that show up in threads to tamp down conservative opinion.

The democrats hate wealth of others. If they are rich, that is perfectly dandy. If you are, you are obviously some kind of crook. Democrats prefer to import poor and see money spent on defense as money wasted. They would prefer voting booths be in soup kitchens rather than in banks.

They have no logical or rational view of the future. They have no plan, no vision.

Not true. Their plan is pure socialism. Wait till they make you put a photo of Stalin over your bed.

Hence, they are perfectly fine with a super-wealthy Al Gore, George Soros, or Barbara Streisand. Or the same with all the super rich actors, singers, or other businessmen who have accumulated extreme wealth, but are themselves "limousine liberals".

But have the same wealth and be even slightly Conservative, you morph into the enemy. It really is more political than anything else.

There is a massive tech hub in austin, one of if not the largest in the nation, plus austin is nearby fort hood the largest army base in the country, and austin is also home to the hq of texas national guard and texas state guard, while fort hood has army resrerves and even air force stationed there, this gives them access to testing on almost all levels of military from enlisted and officer down to reserves and even state militia, for a testing grounds to develope new doctrine, everything in austin was perfect and only a fool would not choose it, it is the perfect storm for military commanders needing test people and number crunchers.

Not bad analysis. I would add that we need to remember that it was the 4th ID at Fort Hood that spearheaded the Force XXI MTOE and much of the technologies that were included within it. Regardless of what we may or may not think about the viability of that MTOE, the reality is that not only does Ft. Hood have the logistics and training areas, it also still has the infrastructure that was built up to develop and test the last future Army.

Does anyone know how the tech brainiacs or even the rest of the people of the Austin region feel about this? Some smart reporter asked the top brass something on the order of "How do you know that these best of the brightest tech people you are hankering for want to have anything to do with you?" which is a reasonable question when we see all the hostility from the biggest tech firms about working for the government. How many of these people approve of Americas Massive and Massively expensive military dominating or trying to anyways the world and want to support that with their massive brains and as well their life? The answer was that the powerful people of the city said that they think that this is a swell idea. Not all that comforting of an answer.

This is where my head is:
