China lands bomber on South China Sea island for first time

Almost all of the ten countries that border the South China Sea are building their armed forces in a direct response to the CCP Boyz in Beijing militarizing the Sea. Naval forces are getting the vast majority of the new muscle. China's neighbors are ordering submarines like proverbial hotcakes at a state fair.

Vietnam recently got its sixth of six new Russian Kilo Klass subs that include the Klub missile that can penetrate into the China land mass. VN naval personnel are being trained by India in the subs and submarine warfare. Hanoi has purchased new recon and surveillance platforms from the US to replace its coastal systems that are more than obsolete from the dayze of the Soviet Union. Next month the USS Carl Vinson carrier strike force 5 will dock at Cam Ranh Bay after VN completed major renovations to accommodate aircraft carriers -- US ones in particular. Indian carriers will be coming soon despite a lot of hollering against it from Beijing. Obama and his SecDef Ashton Carter ended the prohibition on selling lethal arms to VN and left a shopping catalog.

One gets some idea of the Indonesian Navy after it steamed 40 warships to its Natuna islands in the southernmost SCS to counter CCP Dictators' brazen claims of ownership of the territorial waters off the islands. CCP Dictators know better than to claim the islands per se so they limit their lawless claims to the islands' territorial waters. Indonesia won't have any of it and the Boyz have been lying low on the dispute since the 40 ship naval fleet swarmed the place. To emphasize the point the Indonesian Navy seized a metal hull 300 ton Chinese fishing boat in the territorial waters, evacuated it and blew it up in a ball of fire and flying debris. The defense minister in Jakarta put it this way, "If you lock your front door but leave the back door unlocked the thief will come in the back door."

Malaysia is buying nine new naval ships from India to include corvettes, frigates, destroyers. Singapore which is a strong US strategic partner is the base of three new USN littoral combat ships and the city-state recently completed new docking facilities for US carriers and their strike force. Singapore with its limited air space continues to use bases in Taiwan for the Singapore air force to get flight training and practice despite The Boyz having conniptions and apoplexy over it. Singapore and Taiwan have had this arrangement for many years. CCP Boyz recently detained some Singapore merchant vessels in Hong Kong so the prime minister sent more planes to Taiwan and flew 'em in low over the Taiwan Strait and in a clear view from the mainland. The vessels were released after The Boyz said they'd just been checking things out.

Australia just plunked US$41 million for 12 French Barracuda subs being constructed in Oz. It is the biggest single capital project in Oz history. France btw is the only country of Europe to maintain a Pacific Naval Fleet which is plowing the waters of the SCS these dayze. The Brits announced last year they will commit one of their new aircraft carriers to the SCS with supporting ships. The Brits recently flew some Tornado fighters to Japan for joint exercises with Japan to include the US and SK air forces. The Brits thought it a good idea to have the Tornadoes visit Singapore via the SCS so that's what they did. To and from.

CCP Boyz have said they will declare an Air Defense Identification Zone over the South China Sea. Establishing an ADIZ would mean all aircraft civilian and military would need to request Chinese permission to enter the Zone, i.e., the airspace over the Sea. The Boyz have said this for several years now but they haven't done it. Nor will they. The Boyz know they can't enforce an ADIZ over the Sea nor can The Tyrants defend one. The CCP Dictator-Tyrants know this from their unhappy experience of establishing an ADIZ over the East Sea. The Boyz established their ADIZ against Japan and the US in the dispute with Tokyo over the Senkaku islands which Japan owns and possesses and which Beijing claims belongs to them. The Boyz keep showing around some ancient map everyone only sneezes on. The Boyz broadcast that anyone entering their new ADIZ without their permission would face severe consequences. On the second day Obama sent two unarmed B-52 stratofortress nuclear capable bombers into and through the Zone. The Boyz shat their pants and the rest is history. Cause since then the Boyz ADIZ has been aerial swiss cheese as US, Japan, SK fly fighters fly through it regularly and at will. Sometimes all three together.

Bullies, bluster and bumbling are a natural and predictable occurrence.

Yes, I heard that they set their sights on neighboring stretches of Russian territory, using Putin's own strategy, that is, filling them up with Chinese migrants so that they later can say "we're just worried about ethnic Chinese who are being mistreated." Apparently as they realized that poking the big bear to the North wouldn't pay off (History shows us that invading Russia often doesn't turn out so well for the invader), they've been looking at the weak countries in Africa as a desirable target. Far away, but not a lot of resistance, so, apparently there is massive Chinese immigration to certain parts of Africa. Since you seem to be very knowledgeable about China, would you care to comment?

CCP Boyz in Beijing claim more land and territory outside of China than they have in China. They claim for instance the northern third of India -- in other words, all of India. New Delhi has recently shifted the bulk of its armed forces from the border with Pakistan to the border with CCP-PRC. Japan has also completed the repositioning of the bulk of its Self-Defense Forces from its north against Russia to the south against China. It's worth mentioning btw that the assessment of the US Naval War College is that the PLA Navy would need a good day to defeat the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (Navy). For one thing, while China hasn't ever had a real navy the world knows Japan has had real navies over a long term. Japan has one again -- however quietly -- and there is no question it's on our side and we welcome 'em. We even helped 'em do it.

Siberia is a definite sore point with the sorehead Chinese who are hard core revanchists and irredentists. Y'know, the kind of stuff Mussolini and Hitler were on about in their time and place. The current China-Russia entente is little more than marking time. Chinese mean to have Siberia back, as they see it, and they are deadly serious about this one. Everyone also knows that if PLA crosses the Siberia border in force the only way the Russians can stop 'em is to go nuclear. So it's discomforting that Beijing last year repositioned several mobile nuclear armed missiles to the border below Siberia. Indeed, despite the current entente, any time Russian generals and national security officials talk about the next invading army they talk about the Chinese and China. Neither side is kidding the other or themselves. It's their OK Corral over there waiting to happen.

As for Africa, the Chinese reject the out of Africa theory and data of evolution and they disrespect Africans absolutely. The Chinese believe the Chinese originated in northeast Asia and that they poofed into being completely apart from Africa and independently of all of humanity elsewhere. It's Chinese exceptionalism except that it's genetic. Africa is anyway the only place for the CCP to go and where they can dominate. The other continents are unavailable to 'em so Africa and its natural resources are it. The Chinese have always done everything by corruption and Africa is their wet dream of corruption. (Trump comes in second.) Xi Jinpingpong is seeing his BFF Robert Mugabe do a slow fade but the Chinese exploitation of Africa is not dependent on any one guy. Beijing's first and only overseas military base is in Africa and Beijing will open more military bases in the sub-Saharan countries. Gradually of course. The US and the West monitor what happens there and exert some influence over people and events, however, Africa is not a military factor nor is Africa an economics factor in the world economy. It's not going to be either. While CCP enrich themselves sucking up African natural resources to include diamonds, oil, gold and the like, it's not going to make or break the CCP development either way. Neither is the US or the West losing much of anything if anything.

CCP Dictators in Beijing have twice trashed the Code of Conduct of the Parties in the South China Sea initiated by the ten member Association of South East Asia Nations that border the Sea. Beijing quit observing the first code initiated by Asean and that was signed 2002. CCP Dictators were maneuvered into signing a second Code of Conduct in 2010 that it said no longer applied in 2012. Current negotiations on a new Code pushed by Asean leaders are riding low in the water and barely moving, so to speak.

The ten Asean countries share 131,000 km of shore along the SCS while China has 30,000 km of it. Many people believe it should be called the South East Asia Sea. CCP Boyz have a lock however on the UN Atlas of the Oceans Commission that recommends the identity of given body of water to the General Assembly.

Pentagon disinvites China from naval exercise over South China Sea buildup

The Pentagon disinvited China from participating in a major naval exercise on Wednesday, signaling mounting anger over Beijing's expanded military footprint in disputed areas of the South China Sea.

Lt. Col. Christopher Logan, a Pentagon spokesman, said the Defense Department had withdrawn an invitation to the Chinese navy to participate in the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) drill, a biennial naval exercise that involves more than two dozen nations, over Beijing's decision to place anti-ship missiles, surface-to-air missiles and electronic jammers on the Spratly Islands.

Those islands, which China has enlarged and occupied in recent years, are subject to competing claims from several countries, including Malaysia, Vietnam and the Philippines.

“We believe these recent deployments and the continued militarization of these features is a violation of the promise that President Xi ⅛Jinping⅜ made to the United States and the world,” Logan said in a statement.

The Pentagon said that China has landed bomber aircraft — apparently including the advanced, nuclear-capable H-6K — at Woody Island, in another disputed area to the north claimed by China and Vietnam.

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, who met with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in Washington on Wednesday, called the decision “unconstructive.”

“We hope the U.S. will change such a negative mindset. Both China, the U.S. are big countries, and we are well positioned to have greater cooperation at sea.” Wang said at a press conference. “China is only building civilian and some necessary defense facilities on our own islands. That is the right to self-defense and preservation of every sovereign state.”
