Never said Trump's Red Square Parade in Washington was cancelled. I posted what is as of the moment, i.e., a grand concert on the Mall and a gartantuan flyover. The post is a desperate reach, deflection, lunge.

I have expected from the dropping of it by Trump that troops will march in his Red Square in Washington Parade. Just not as such. Each branch of the armed forces has its own ceremonial unit in Washington for this kind of thingy exactly. The Army 3rd Infantry Regiment which I was in is by far the largest, and all of the service units are both combat ready and ceremonial busy. It is the Military District of Washington I was in, which is central to the Joint Force National Capital Region commanded by an Army two-star with his joint service staff. They're under the command of U.S. Northern Command which controls all U.S. armed forces in North America. Northern Command forces are not at the border with Mexico, Northern Command is not building a wall and Northern Command is not paying for any ****ing wall. As anyone can see plainly you're in a time zone where it's still dark and everyone is sleeping. Nighty-night then over there if you're counting sheep at this point. I would nonetheless welcome further discussion with you and youse. Your concocted narrative at the thread has failed because it is false and because people came down on it. Hard.

You are desperate indeed flailing away from down there in the gutter. Commanders have resisted from the outset the notion of a parade as Trump presented it. That is, a Red Square in Washington Parade. Any such parade come to Washington would require commanders of units in the continental U.S. -- all of which are under the U.S. Northern Command based in Colorado -- to send troops, vehicles to include tanks, heavy duty trucks with missiles on 'em, mother of all bombs bombs and the like. Not.

This isn't how the parade planning and preparation is going. SecDef Mattis and the Joint Chiefs are rather conceiving and planning a grand concert on the National Mall concluded by a humongous flyover. Troops will march for certain, as I'd noted over the past several months since Trump got his marching orders and passed 'em on to the Pentagon. Ceremonial troops will march. The regular ceremonial troops will march complemented by some CONUS forces from outside of the National Capital Region Joint Force Command. There will be no Red Square in Washington Parade as ordered by the guy who ordered it up....



A military parade to honor the 72nd anniversary of the Soviet Army's Victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945), involving over 10,000 troops and 114 units of military equipment took place in Moscow in May 2017.


This is what U.S. military commanders won't agree to because it is against all USA civil-military relations, traditions, customs, mores and this is my reference. So youse over there can color my posts on this red white and blue thx.

The case for that side over there is feeble at best and virtually absent so I'd suppose you can be satisfied you represent it accurately and completely. Faithfully even.

Pentagon shot down Trump's expressed wish to include in the Inaugural Parade the Red Square kind of heavy mobile weaponry that fascinates him so and that also tickles his bone spurs.

Word around Washington has been for some time that Trump arranged Macron's invitation to the Bastille Day Parade so he could again try the heavy weapons stuff along Pennsylvania Avenue. And since Bastille Day is on the anniversary of the French Revolution Trump had figured he could get his own Bastille Day Parade American style on the 4th of July when America could celebrate a Trump Parade Day too. Pentagon however led by SecDef Mattis and the joint chiefs got Trump to request the parade be on Veterans Day instead, which is a more solemn and low key occasion. I'm confident Gen. Kelly pitched in on this one too. Indeed, Veterans Day this year marks the end of World War I which is how the November 11th official holiday got its start as Armistice Day.

SecDef Mattis and the joint chiefs put the Army in charge of leading the planning and development of the constantly reduced Trump induced event. The unit I was in at Ft. Myer next to the Pentagon, The Old Guard of the Army 3rd Infantry Regiment, is by far the biggest armed forces ceremonial unit in the Military District of Washington. While each of the other services have two companies of ceremonial crackerjacks The Old Guard has seven line companies in addition to being the oldest active Infantry regiment. So TOG is at the head of the class on this too, same as for the Inaugural Parade, which means TOG commanders know the Trumo MO. Gen. Washington's select commander in chief guard is a part of this unit today (Company A Alpha 4th Btn).

The Old Guard Association composed of former members is a well connected group btw. All it takes to join TOGA is a DD 214 and $25 bucks. So that excludes you don't it. It sure does. Regardless the annual reunions each fall at Ft. Myer go for dayze of nostalgia and fascinating evenings. It's when we members get to meet and dine with present TOG members. The war stories of TOG ceremonial personnel past and present are often howlers which surprises no one in the know about these things -- the people of it mostly of course. TOGA members include officers, nco and EP generally and we mingle with current TOG members up and down the ranks as if all of us were lifelong pals. Cause we are. So we keep in touch throughout the year, each year, year after year. Since the election of Trump we've been burning up the wires coast to coast and globally too. It's mutual support, i.e., the old timers provide valued perspective while the the present generation provide their information and express their concerns. Nor is the whole of it over yet -- not by any means.

You haven't said which article you argued extensively and in careful detail against. That's presuming you yourself know which article you might be referencing. Slim chance of that so you'd need to get cracking right quick now.

I have presented my take on the topic and thread and my case is viable for sure. SecDef and Joint Chiefs have told Trump to take His Wall and His Parade and shove it. The only way Trump is going to get money for His Wall is to start digging for it -- in Mexico of course. Potus is going to have to become a bandito. He's already a desperado. There are no regular armed forces troops at the border nor will there be any. The National Guard will have to grow old in the border towers and deserts down there. Chewing dust. That's not exactly good publicity to be all that you can be izzit. No, it is not. Indeed not.

I remain in this thread because you continue to lie about what the article actually says and wont answer direct and simple questions. The article is dishonest, the thread title is dishonest and your posts on the topic have been dishonest. Trump did not say what you dishonestly claim he says. This has been pointed out to you repeatedly by me so you can no longer claim ignorance. That leaves open only one possibility--you know you are being dishonest but simply dont care. Dont get me wrong, I dont expect honesty from the left. I just point it out when it happens and see which of you is man enough to admit when you are wrong and which of you double down on your lies. It is clear which one is happening here.

It gets real tiring dealing with liberals who cant focus their minds enough to have a coherent conversation. What Trump said during the campaign has nothing to do with what he asked the CIA officer. Dishonest liberals made that link out of thin ir, not out of facts. You should really start thinking on your own a bit and maybe you wont fall for propaganda the way you and so many other Trump hating liberals did here.
