Russia successfully tested an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) which Nato has called "Satan 2", the country's military said.

The RS-28 "Sarmat" blasted off from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome in its northern Arkhangelsk province, close to the Arctic Circle.

Intended to replace the aging, Soviet-era missiles that form the basis of its nuclear deterrent, Russia has been working to develop a new ICBM to replace the Soviet-designed Voyevoda, known as "Satan" in the west.

Modernizing their ICBM force. Neat looking vehicle, similar to our Minuteman.

How are the Russians paying for all this upgrade to their weapons systems? Their economy ranks behind countries like India and Italy, France and Brazil, where's the money coming from?

Many places. Their health sector, education sector, infrastructure sector, etc. The pretext is usually that Putin is saving the Motherland from a NATO invasion.

And again Trump remains silent.

1. Americans must remove all their military bases, which they distributed throughout the world ...

-------------------------------------------------- -------------
2. Americans should stop threatening the whole world and organize military conflicts.

-------------------------------------------------- -------------
3. Americans should return to "Island America"

-------------------------------------------------- -------------
4. If the Americans do not like this, then we will force you to do this by force

Lower costs for development (ie not having to pay contractors that are spread out across the US in order for congressional support. Combined with generally just updating old designs with newer but not undeveloped technology. When the Russian do try to go with undeveloped technology it is not cheap (T50 stealth plane requires new engines to be truly effective.

The S300 to S500 AA are generally upgrades from the S300, which I gather is a great system
