On the Internet, there is an opinion that the life of Russian nuclear missiles expires in 2019. But I would not discount the Russian military threat. I think you should not play "Russian roulette" regarding Russian nuclear weapons. The unleashing of any war, the more nuclear one, is an insane step in all respects. Any empire or dictatorship sooner or later collapses under the pressure of its own contradictions. Do not squeeze the abscess until it is well ripe.

one way or another , the Juchi Khan´s project has done ...just matter of time ...

we ´d use Nuclear_bunker_buster against Kremlin thugs in order to stop all wars

so you advocate a preemptive nuclear strike on Russia? what does the next step look like? how does the whole thing play out?

What the Russians have been able to do with really limited funds and on the back of massive infrastructure deficiencies we need to be standing at attention for.

This is important.

Naw. We need to keep being belligerent. We need to keep moving troops and weapons closer to their borders. We need more sanctions and hostility.

if anyone launches a modern nuke, we're probably looking at a chain reaction back to the dark ages; more specifically, a version of the dark ages which includes vast areas of the earth which will be uninhabitable for a very long time.

i understand that we are primates who generally think in a tribal "us" and "them" dynamic until a common "them" emerges. i generally try to be sympathetic with this mindset, as i am not immune to it myself. how could i be? it's innate. it came with the computer, and deleting it is very difficult. however, if we don't get our **** together as a species, we are in trouble, and i would be remiss for not pointing that out.

we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
I'm a man old enough, and I remember the period of Leonid Brezhnev's reign. Although he was a Communist to the core, however, he proclaimed the struggle for peace the main goal of his life. Because he remembered all the horrors of the war that he had to face during the Second World War II, where he was a participant. And in addition, he can fully imagine the consequences of modern nuclear war.

Unfortunately, in the face of the current Russian leaders, I do not see such a desire for peace. On the contrary, there is an aggressive policy and rhetoric. This is because Putin did not see the horrors of the war that Brezhnev had to endure.
Moreover, some modern leaders allow themselves to threaten the world community with their nuclear arsenals and proclaim the state of things that they can use this weapon under certain conditions.

This blackmail may well lead to direct practical action. I regret to explain that the presence of such not quite adequate leaders as Kim Jong-un and Vladimir Putin threatens the very existence of mankind.

For some several decades of the existence of nuclear weapons, we have witnessed the emergence of such irresponsible politicians. Unfortunately, this proves that our civilization is in reality very unstable and vulnerable.

on "Nigeria with snow" (c) S. Brin . the next step will be

That was what caused the problem between Russia and the West in the first place.

We can do better.

Your grasp of what nuclear war would look like is so poor that further discussion is a waste of my time.

Russia's Putin reveals 'invincible' nuclear weapons

The new hypersonic conventional/nuclear cruise missiles (5 m/s) and their ability to evade interception are almost a battlefield reality.

Yes and no.

Missile Defense can only do so much. If one of the powers nuked the other with a hypersonic cruise missile, a massive response with existing nukes would be more than sufficient to end life in the country, possibly on most of the planet. (Aren't we humans awesome?)

Even if this is entirely truthful, they could get past all missile defense with an all-out first strike launch. I'm not sure it changes all that much.

But the popular Nuclear Winter scenario would mean Mutually Assured Destruction. Putin is not self-destructive.

the leading Muscovite military expert Alexander Goltz, says that all Putin´s "new" military technologies are fake.

In politics and economics, a Potemkin village (also Potyomkin village, derived from the Russian: потёмкинские деревни, Russian pronunciation: [pɐˈtʲɵmkʲɪnskʲɪɪ dʲɪˈrʲɛvnʲɪ] potyomkinskiye derevni) is any construction (literal or figurative) built solely to deceive others into thinking that a situation is better than it is.

Well, that's my point.

Yes, the new weapons could certainly better evade any attempts to knock them out of the sky, but because of MAD it's not really a threat. He's not going to try to nuke D.C. with one of the new weapons anymore than he would with an old-school ICBM.

+1, this what Muscovite empire has always done "best" . the second leading Muscovite military expert Pavel_Felgenhauer talks about putler´s Potemkin nuke - village

Let us not use the word "invincible" and weapon in a realistic feasible way. There has never been nor will there be a such thing as an invincible weapon. Although nuclear weapons are devastating and almost apocalyptic in nature they are by no means invincible and even if a interception device doesn't exist now , there is no guarantee that it also wont in the future. We also would do well to remember that although the Russian Federation strains to put on a show to make up for the huge losses it took after its so called "independence" they are a fearsome force to be reckoned with economically, politically, and militarily and there fore although not invincible they are incredibly dangerous.
