Airman Christopher Lewis Receives Silver Star for Mosul Heroism

You were Special Forces? CCT usually did not attatch to regular units like TACP did. I could see the CCT handling the JTAC role if a rated TACP wasnt available.

Still am. With First Group out at Okinawa Japan currently. Yeah we very very rarely have TACPs attached to our teams. CCTs fill the JTAC role for pretty much all SOCOM. We also send of our guys to SOTACC so we have our own JTACs as well but the CCTs will take lead on combat trips. Supposed to have at least on 18 series JTAC per ODA but it’s hard to keep guys current with the million other tasks we have to stay up on.

That makes much more sense. given the total force size of CCT and even TACP the idea that CCT would be attached to NO SF wouldn't seem accurate.

Stay safe brother.
