Lots of reports that Bergdahl thinks he cant get a fair trial... because of Trump, of course. If his guilty plea isn’t a straight up mea culpa, the judge can simply reject it and order his trial to go forward. It will be interesting to see what he does.

What do you think? Will he plea straight up guilty or a condemnation of the process?

Call me stupid, but I have no idea who that is, or what you're referring to.

The little puke will do what he can to take the easy way out. I hope the judge orders him to trial and the jury is stacked with combat vets.

I am sure he will say it is rigged when he gets sentenced. I am sure his supporters will do the same. This guy is terrible...and life in prison is what he deserves.

I would be happy to trade him back for the 5 we released in exchange for him as another option.

I hope he gets the death penalty.

It's think it's more likely Bergdahl fears he will get a fair trial.

Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl told a military judge on Monday that he's pleading guilty to desertion and misbehavior before the enemy.

"I understand that leaving was against the law," Bergdahl said.

"At the time, I had no intention of causing search and recovery operations," Bergdahl added, saying that now he does understand that his decision to walk off his remote post in Afghanistan in 2009 prompted efforts to find him.

The misbehavior charge carries a maximum penalty of life in prison, while the desertion charge is punishable by up to five years. He appears to be hoping for leniency from the judge, Army Col. Jeffery R. Nance.

After reading up on this a little bit, I doubt he will get an unfair trial. I think his "concern" is not valid.

Yep he pleads guilty.

Remember when Obama and his administration claimed he served his country with honor and distinction?

Here's a blast from the past.

The Obama administration said Berdahl served with " honor and distinction "...Lol !

Unreal. Oh and who can forget his looney father's speech in the rose garden.

Lol ! Crazy crap like this could only have happened under Obama

Trump screwed up this trial with his illegal command interference.I predict that not only won't Bergdahl spend the rest of his life in prison he won't spend a single day there.

Wait and see.

Trump's biggest problem is that he runs his mouth before he turns his brain on.

He won't get any time.Wait and see.
It’s good to see your back to your old wait and see bit.
Tell me how did that work out for you this last election.

He will do the same thing in 2020. Wait and see.

How do you know he has a brain?

He might, if the judge doesn’t accept his plea and makes him go to trial...

I highly doubt Bergdahl will get death.

Every human being has one but some are better than others.

I suppose a better question for me to ask is how do you know he has a conscience?

Why should I care if he has a conscience?

No matter how this case is decided any sentence is ripe for appeal because of Trump's interference.
