I Love Jet Noise

I once got to watch a blackbird warm up and take off...it was so loud, the noise almost lost mean, and it started popping, like, you could feel it in your chest.

Probably the loudest thing I've ever been subject to.

My fav noise is super charger wine.

When I finished Basic Training and associated schools I caught a hop back home on a KC-10. Along the way we refueled the Thunderbirds.

The demo teams are awesome. Blue Angels, Thunderbirds and Canadian Snowbirds are all top shelf.

When I was stationed at Peterson we had a Blackbird come in on an emergency. After they got him fixed he took off, made a huge loop around town, went nose up and hit the throttle. It was amazing to see an aircraft disappear that fast.

Love the sound of turbines and the smell of Jet-A.

The Angels were practicing at Stewart Airport in Newburgh NY just before their show at Jones Beach on the 4th. Missus and I were coming back from Vermont.
Snapped this pic while driving on the NYS Thruway. Kinda crappy but the best we could from a moving car.

can't say that I do, every morning at just past 6am the first big airplane (jets blasting) comes in for a landing just a few hundred yards over my head, every single day every single morning and numerous times after that moment. And I have double glazing and everything closed and still I can hear it so badly that it sometimes wakes me up if I am not totally asleep.

So no, can't say that I do and if the jet engines from the passenger and freight planes do not make serious noise the awacs plane makes some noise too.

But I must say formation flying is wonderful and every since Van Halen with Sammy as lead vocalist and he song dreams I cannot look at those planes without the tune of that song kicking in (and I love it).

A quick trip around Wales and the North of England, by Eurofighter Typhoon.

The Blue Angles are so awesome! Saw them many years ago at Andrews Air Force base on armed forces day.
Flight has always interested me. Many years ago I got my private pilots license. Nothing like the feeling when you
leave the ground. Not current now! I miss it.

There are fans who climb the hills in the Mach Loop to watch the planes go by. Below them!

Personally, I like the sound of helicopters.....the drone/whine of the UH 60's are like white noise; Puts me right to sleep.
