Yeah, I know.
I think they learn to be good shots because the Canadian military rations bullets.

A Canadian JTF 2 operator has shattered the world record for a sniper shot- 3,540 meters, the old record being 2,475. An ISIS operation against Iraqi forces was disrupted.

This is like the Bob Beamon long jump. Probably gonna stand awhile, this record.

3,540 meters equals 11,614.17 feet which is 2.2 (2.19965) miles which would take the average person 45 minutes to walk that distance, and this guy took down a bad guy (a target of ~18 inches) at that distance in ~10 seconds.

Amazing.

No doubt there's a lot of training involved, but maybe the guy should also have bought a lottery ticket that day!

Yeah as I explained in the other thread about this there was a tremendous amount of luck involved in the. I also basically guarantee that the shooter fired quite a few rounds before he got a hit. Not saying there also wasn't a lot of skill because obviously there was but as a Special Forces Sniper myself I know the reality of shooting that far.

Incredible shot... I take my hat off to our Commonwealth friends :)
