US Army BCT and OSUT questions

OSUT = One Station Unit Training where one's basic training and MOS training (in my case infantry but I believe it also applies to Cavalry Scouts, tankers, and possibly MPs) is conducted all at once at the same training location.

As to most jobs in the Army where the individual completes BCT first and then goes to a different station to complete their AIT/MOS training.

An organization that has to call something one station unit training suggest that the Army isnt an outfit I want to be part of

Well I doubt the Army is missing out by not having you in our ranks so I am sure it's best for all.

I agree, unfortunately the army has an appeal to naive ignorant young men.

Yes I know many of those who don't have the courage to defend their country prefer to try and run down those who do.

There hasn't been a need to defend the country since Pearl Harbor

Whatever you need to tell yourself to help you feel better feel free to continue telling yourself that.

You're branching infantry?

If the question is whether or not I'm an 11B, the answer is yes. I'm currently in Germany on my first assignment with 2CR.

Oh, so it's too late to try and talk you out of it...lol!

Mechanized?

Stryker. Gonna pursue jump school at some point and seek airborne for my next assignment but I have to get my eyes fixed first and slots for jump school are slim these days.

Are there master gunners in Stryker units? If so, the master gunner's course might be something to look into.
