StoryCorps - The cost of war.

These StoryCorps things are pretty legit and it's rough listening to them. It's hard to convey how things get on a deployment, and the toll it takes on even the survivors.

"I am most proud of not blowing my head off by now." <---I don't think there is a better sentence to describe what it's like and with about 20 veterans a day not being able to say the same drives it home.

This is hard to watch but it may help give some understanding of why so many of us who wear the uniform aren't so ready to get involved in war for reasons not much better than partisan politics or the interests of corporations, which is what a lot of it is.

Just giving a small perspective on why foreign policy is high on my list of things and why I'm not very patient with those who are so eager to send others to war.
