Anyone see this yet? I'm watching it now--I've made it about halfway though so far--and find it absolutely fascinating and quite informative. Something about the graphics really drives the story home.

The scale of the Second World War is something that is really hard to comprehend. It's one thing to see numbers written on a page, "500,000", "670,000", "32 Divisions", it's another thing entirely to really see the scale of which the war was fought on. Millions upon millions of soldiers, tens of millions of innocent lives lose, and the massive industry that was brought forth to achieve victory.

Absolutely. We all knew about D-Day, for example, but the way this program lays out the planning, troop mobilization and successes in battle is absolutely memorable. I learned more in that two hour program than I did reading about this crap over the past 30-40 years.

Well...they skipped a TON.

It's more like WW2 After Pearl Harbor From Space.

But it is interesting looking - well done technically.

They flip back periodically to give the back story. But, yes, most of the focus is on the US.

Not one to watch these. Then I decided to as I had read on WW2 since I was young. Thank you for posting this, as it provides what you cannot always gain from a book. This lets a person see the wider view of battles, logistics and turning points.

Having read extensively on WW2 when younger, many books focused on differing areas of the conflict. This lays it out in a way that has been quite informative.
I am at the 54-minute mark and have yet to be disappointed.
Again, thank you, and an excellent post.

Yeah, I felt the same way. I have read countless books on all the battles, but I never had a chance to tie it all together like they do in the video. It's been a real eye-opener.
