Chicago Moons the Trump Tower - Feb 12

True story:

We're throwing a large wedding later this year, with a far amount of international family and guests coming over. Halfway through Trump's campaign, we had to sadly make the decision to *not* use Trump Tower to put them up. It was just potentially too offensive to our guests.

I haven't felt this way since Nixon, 'Nam, and Watergate. Think about that.

I have accepted your invitation and thought about it. (Am I now meant to tell you what I thought? If not please stop reading now. I think you are being ridiculously over fastidious and rather silly).

I've stayed at the Hilton on Michigan Ave recently. It was alright, but it had that swanky address.

Then again, Hilton Worldwide PAC gives more to Republicans, so I guess they're out.

South Michigan Ave, where the Hilton is, isnt really swanky vs River North (where Trump and the good Hilton is). And its a bit of a distance from all the nightlife and good restaurants (although Buddy Guy's is across the street).

You might be interested to know that the Hilton on Michigan was built in 1930 as the Stevens Hotel, which was owned by the father of (retired) Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.

To each their own.

But you're sitting at the back corner table no one wants! :2razz:

(but in all seriousness, the feedback was from several of our guests too - not just us)

It's not just about me Countryboy (though I wouldn't put a thin dime in Trump's pocket personally), but about our guests. This is pretty much a once in a lifetime family event, the biggest thing we've ever done, and I want it done right. Half the guests we're putting up have never been to the city, and several haven't ever previously set foot in the States. And I'm not going to mar that experience with Trump. He's best forgotten & ignored, as far as I'm concerned.

With no personal disrespect to yourself, you may be unaware of the disgust and anger Trump's distilled in some areas of America, and in some corners of the world. It is very real. But it may not be apparent in all areas of the country. I interact in business transactions with the general public, and I wholeheartedly assure you he is very often despised where I'm at. That's not to say he doesn't have supporters here too - he does; two of my good neighbors support him. But many hate the guy, and everything he stands for, and I too refuse to associate myself or my family with him, Bannon, or any of their ilk.

Ahhhh, the tolerant left strikes again. Nevermind all the people who work there and depend on business to earn a living. But......."we're for the little guy". Yeah, in a pig's ****ing eye.

I hope they're all rounded up and cited for public indecency... City needs revenue...

God damn cry-babies...

6 people will probably get killed,,,

35 probably shot

and the news will talk about all that ass....

djl

Well, when you can allude to the size of your penis during a Presidential debate and win why wouldn't people think that immature behavior can get results? We are in the Trump era now.

Hahaaaaah!!!!! In true lib fashion, it's always someone else's fault.
:lamo :2funny::giggle1::2rofll: :laughat:

I wonder how many of these twits have jobs. My guess is not many.

Where's the fun in getting a job when you can spend that time figuring out ways to have your stupid mug (and in this case, ass) plastered all over the internet so everyone else can ridicule you.

Yeah like it takes so much time out of the day to bend over and unbutton one's pants. I'm sure like all good conservatives you wish everyone slaved away 24 hours at their job, but the fact is what they're planning takes less time than to take a ****, which many people do at work btw

I passed by the tower last summer. Millions of people do by simple fact it's in the way. If i happened to be there when this event was planned, sure i'd participate. I could even manage to juggle my work responsibilities the next day! Who would have thought!
