Chicago Protesters Prepare To Moon Trump Tower
February 2, 2017 3:54 PM By Mason Johnson

While the moonlight shines nightly on Chicago’s Trump Tower, a different kind of moon will soon reflect off the building’s exterior: the human posterior.

“Chicago Moons the Trump Tower” is a Facebook event organized by the satirical news show S#!TSHOW. 200 people have outright joined the event, promising to show up to Chicago’s Trump Tower with the intent to drop their pants and point their buttocks at the building in unison. Another 1,000 have expressed interest in the event.

The goal is singular, as you can see from the protest’s slogan: “Kiss Our A****, Release Your Taxes!”

Organizers, talking with DNAInfo Chicago, maintain that the event, though silly, is activism.

The event is planned for February 12th at “the crack of 4:00 PM.” Only 98% of the literal moon will be visible that night, but there likely won’t be a shortage of full moons if the protest is allowed to take place.

“In 2006, a Maryland state circuit court determined that mooning is a form of artistic expression protected by the First Amendment as a form of speech,” the Facebook event reads.

It seems unlikely the act will break Illinois law, as the intent is not to “arouse or to satisfy the sexual desire of the person.”

True story:

We're throwing a large wedding later this year, with a far amount of international family and guests coming over. Halfway through Trump's campaign, we had to sadly make the decision to *not* use Trump Tower to put them up. It was just potentially too offensive to our guests.

I haven't felt this way since Nixon, 'Nam, and Watergate. Think about that.

Post pictures!

It will look something like this.

I'll have to find a huge apricot to bring.

How very puerile. So long as these sore losers aren't violent, I couldn't care what they did with their fat asses.

A better use of their time would be ensuring more of their lot come out and vote in 2018

Good ****ing grief. :doh

What?

You don't think our relatives from overseas are asking us questions about this clown? One of the countries represented here in our guest list has a substantial localized Muslim population. Many of the other guests think he's a hateful nut.

No way am I putting this party up in a place emblazoned by the Trump logo! :doh

Maybe he plays better in your circle, than mine.

You got that right.

If anything good comes out of this, it will be that citizens learn the lesson of not voting their wishes!

Of course the other candidate absolutely sucked too, though.

Were you seriously considering it as a venue before his nomination and campaign?

If so, why?

I'm imagining his circle tends to think putting people up in a Red Roof Inn is a bit of an extravagance, when Motel 6 is just as good.

Keep it classy Chicago.

Reminds me of this cartoon by one of Canada's most famous political cartoonists:

We hadn't seriously considered any specific hotel at that point (mid campaign), but were in the process of culling a group of possible places to explore more deeply. We cut Trump Towers out at the very beginning, due to the politics involved. Also, his comparable room rates were a little higher than his peer competition, but that wasn't the eliminating factor.

His location is prime though, and excellent in terms of architectural views from the rooms overlooking the river and the Loop, but (IHMO) it does not offer the ultra-plus panache of being directly on Michigan Ave which we believe our guests would enjoy.

Well, I'm certainly not going to comment on the above, but I do offer my thoughts on Trump Towers in post #15.

Sounds funny and at least less douchey than much of the other leftist hate that has been ongoing. So...go moon away.

I wonder how Trump will react if he discovers that his exploits in the White House are actually hurting his beloved Trump name rather than enhancing it?

And since a HUGE part of Trump's wealth is based on that name - clearly he will be concerned.

And personally, I strongly believe that Trump cares FAR more about his wallet than the country - it could be very interesting what he would do next were that situation to arise.

Leftists are about as thin skinned as it gets, not to mention gullible in the EXTREME. It's a facility, you're not hanging out with the guy.

I've stayed at the Hilton on Michigan Ave recently. It was alright, but it had that swanky address.

Then again, Hilton Worldwide PAC gives more to Republicans, so I guess they're out.

It's not just about me Countryboy (though I wouldn't put a thin dime in Trump's pocket personally), but about our guests. This is pretty much a once in a lifetime family event, the biggest thing we've ever done, and I want it done right. Half the guests we're putting up have never been to the city, and several haven't ever previously set foot in the States. And I'm not going to mar that experience with Trump. He's best forgotten & ignored, as far as I'm concerned.

With no personal disrespect to yourself, you may be unaware of the disgust and anger Trump's distilled in some areas of America, and in some corners of the world. It is very real. But it may not be apparent in all areas of the country. I interact in business transactions with the general public, and I wholeheartedly assure you he is very often despised where I'm at. That's not to say he doesn't have supporters here too - he does; two of my good neighbors support him. But many hate the guy, and everything he stands for, and I too refuse to associate myself or my family with him, Bannon, or any of their ilk.

Though I have never liked the man since he became known, and did not vote for him, I feel an obligation to give him the benefit of the doubt as POTUS, hoping for the best for the country.

Two weeks in, he is an embarrassment.

Alright now, I never went that far. ;)

But this is about our guests firstly, and their possible relationship with Trump.

But as to Michigan Ave, I was referring to the section starting a mile north or so of the Hilton, on the other side of the Loop; from the North Branch of the river, up to Oak Street and the beach. It's the area usually referred to as the "Magnificent Mile" (I hate the term, though).

It's a significantly different environment than the South Loop location of the Hilton. One's primarily business oriented (Hilton's), while the other is (high-end) shopping & restaurants.

Hey, that's fair and I agree.

Hopefully he does something good for the country, since some of his general ideas have merit. We just could've used a more "meritorious" messenger!

And the children wonder why they are out of power.

Well, when you can allude to the size of your penis during a Presidential debate and win why wouldn't people think that immature behavior can get results? We are in the Trump era now.
