Court Rules Wisconsin Right-to-Work Law Is Unconstitutional

Of course you are and so is most all other union members. Union workers are the only workers left in america that make a decent wage and have decent benefits and thats why rich and corporate america hate them.

False. I an non Union and make a damn good wage and have great benefits. Then again one's definition of "decent" is subjective. I see most union pay as bloated.

yep, make it harder for companies to fire idiotic entitled 'workers', sounds like a great way to send a few more jobs to China.

There was a New York teacher who had sexually assaulted a student and the teacher's union would let them fire him, so he basically just sits in a room all day paid.

So why isn't it "get a different job" like it is every other time people have an issue with their employment?

Don't like it? Work somewhere without a union. Seems pretty simple.
Except for when you are already in a job and a union wants to form and force you into it. Why should I have to get a different job just because others want to join a union? I agree it is one thing to apply to and hire onto a company/business that already has a union, especially if the owner wants the union there. But don't be coming into my workplace where I have already been working and then tell me I have to join your little union.

Hey guys, while, yes I have chimed in on this, the whole school voucher thing is moving way off topic. Can we do a separate thread for that?

Hey if union wages aren't bloated then neither are business executives.

Its astonishing how you could come to that conclusion :)

The point is that if one can feel that a given group within a business is getting paid too much, then it is not illogical to feel that others are as well. If you want to talk about a fair wage, a completely subjective value, then you have to accept that union wages can and are seen to be as bloated as any executive. Would I like to be pulling in the kind of money that union workers or executives get? Hell yeah! But I would rather that it come from the business doing well and not bullying tactic that then force other problems to arise or other benefits to be removed elsewhere. I would rather earn it myself, than have it forced.

The working class in this country is underpaid, theyve beenfalling behind for the last 30 yrs. Most jobs in the last few years lost ground to inflation, either no raises or smaller than the cost of living.

Its about supply and demand, Im not going to go through the entire cycle, ill give a shorter version. In the 50s and 60s mostly only the man worked the mother stayed home and made sure the kids did homework and didnt smoke weed. Then corporations soiled their shorts and FULLY supported the womans movement to work. Some corps became womens heros because they set up free daycare so they could bring their kids to work. WHY?? not because they are so generous and wonderful but because they flooded the marked with female workers that drove wages down for THEIR BENEFIT. Now there was 2 men and 5 women applying for a job instead of 2 men.

When that wasnt enough for them, during reagan they wanted dirt cheap mexican lackeys that never complained and worked for under minimum wage those workers cost them NOTHING. So Reagan listend and gave 3.5 million amnesty to dilute the work force and left the border open. Fast forward 20 yrs we have mexican workers everywhere working for peanuts and dont even know about Oasha rules.

The only working class in this country that can work and actually LIVE decently without getting rich is UNION WORKERS. The rest of the country sucks wind and works for alot less.

This is NOT about corporations not being able to afford to pay decent wages and give benefits and still make profit, this is about corporations wanting free labor.

So true to form as always the GOP fights for the poor downtrodden rich and corporations. The poor dears pay no fed taxs but whine how much they pay. They whine they cant afford anything more than min wage as it is which many who work for it get taxpayer food stamps and other assistance. So in affect taxpayers pay for raises that corporations refuse to give so WORKING AMERICANS can afford food.

The 6 waltons, just six americans, just 6 human beings are worth more than half of all americans and americans who work for them in walmart, WORK and get govt foodstamps and heating assistance and charity health care that taxpayers pay for.

Youre talking to the wrong guy

Wisconsin judges have done an admirable job standing up for their socialist brethren and keep losing on appeal. Still, it gives the leftists something to post about if they can get in before the appeal.

That is fine, but if they opt out (and many do), they should work at different pay and benefits than those who are union. Goes both ways.

They shouldn't have to work at different pay and bennies if they aren't in the union. That should be between the employee and employer.

According to the latest data this would be not true. a liberal talking point but not true.

Since wages have been going up since the 1950's there you have it. this also would include women's pay as well.

You can thank Tip O'neal who was the democratic majority leader for that one. you are blaming the wrong person.

This is simply not based in any fact but a pleading fallacy. Millions of people live happy and rich and do well without a union.

This is NOT about corporations not being able to afford to pay decent wages and give benefits and still make profit, this is about corporations wanting free labor.
since that is not allowed in the US you are fine.

So true to form as always the GOP fights for the poor downtrodden rich and corporations. The poor dears pay no fed taxs but whine how much they pay. Corporations pay taxes so do rich people. in fact rich people pay almost all of the income tax.
well certain jobs don't actually pay more than minimum wage because they don't have the skill or knowledge to pay more than that.

It is not the companies fault these people do not have the skills or knowledge to make more than minimum wage.

The 6 waltons, just six americans, just 6 human beings are worth more than half of all americans and americans who work for them in walmart, WORK and get govt foodstamps and heating assistance and charity health care that taxpayers pay for.
Yep they run the corporation. they have a ton of responsibility compared to the guy ringing up groceries.

Youre talking to the wrong guy

I can agree.
