Iran’s supreme leader has warned his long-suffering people to prepare for more isolation from the West, reinforcing his confrontational message in the wake of last week’s air crash and America’s assassination of his favourite general.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei led Friday prayers in person for the first time in eight years in a sign of the significance of the crisis the country is facing. Addressing a crowd at Tehran University, he made no concessions to his critics or to protesters who have filled the streets in the week since the Revolutionary Guard accidentally shot down a passenger jet, killing all 176 people on board.

I wonder if even 1 in 100 Americans know that at one time one of the largest federal budget item was to pay extortion money to Muslim pirates?

He may be a clown to you. But to most Americans he did what no other president had the balls to do - stand up to the Revolutionary Guard and show them they can't indiscriminately kill Americans and allies of the U.S.
Obama gave them pallets of cash in order to pacify them. How did that work out?

Two lies in one post.

1. Trump has only ever been approved by a minority of the population, so there goes the first lie.
2. Obama never gave Iran any "pallets of cash." There goes the second lie.




The agreement was promoted by Obama. But it included China, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom and the European Union — not just the United States and Iran.
The deal resulted in Iran getting access to some of its own funds — assets that had been frozen — it wasn’t cash given to Iran by the United States.
And $150 billion is a high-end estimate and the one with the least evidence to support it. The high-end estimate from the U.S. Treasury Department in 2015 was $56 billion, and outside analysts believed the number could be lower.

When Iranian citizens start hating the theocracy, what does the theocracy do?

He's probably correct. The problem since the Iranian Revolution has been caused by forcing an extreme form of Islam on the Iranian people.

The young Iranians are pushing back against it -- and they're getting slaughtered in the streets for their trouble -- but they want to be like other nations. The women want to dress as they please, and homosexuals want to live.

The extremism has to go, and once it does, things will smooth out.

Most People don't know that the Non-believer, the Kufir, is obligated to pay the Muslim.
It was Muhammed who set the 20% rule for the leaders, but there is no way to tell if that is being followed.
They can just show you in writing that it exists.

The structure of Islam helps only the leaders, who live in scandalous wealth while the people suffer.

The money returned to Iran was money on hand in the U.S. we had seized years before plus interest. What's the problem?
