He had no faith so he stepped back and kept quiet, planning to throw them under the bus in case of failure. No one was plotting against him.

Ouroboros always needs a plot or a conspiracy.

It's how he rationalizes his 'Trump is right regardless' mindset.

No Commander BoneSpurs, you're not a military veteran. Just the opposite in fact. Daddy Fred bought your 4F draft deferment.

    Who is "them," exactly?

I find your use of the term "faith" revealing. I tend to believe that you're less concerned with the activities of the Kurds-- which is why you could care less whether or not they've been responsible for terrorist activities-- and more with the notion that Trump, by not demonstrating boundless "faith" in the effectiveness of the American military, has insulted the military. I submit to you that no President, in any era, has ever made decisions based on reinforcing the pride of the armed forces.

I've never stated that Trump is always right, and you would look for a long time through my postings here (assuming you had the tenacity to make such a search) to find anything of that nature.

I'm just ceaselessly amused by all the special pleading that his opponents find necessary.

"Them" would be the intelligence and military personnel who actually planned and executed the takedown.
"Faith" would be the willingness to go all in with his troops, as leaders do.
