bellingcat | Tulsi Gabbard’s Reports on Chemical Attacks in Syria – A Self-Contradictory Error Filled Mess

Tulsi Gabbard said:
"However, I remain skeptical about two particular CW attacks, one at Khan Sheikhun on April 4, 2017, and the other at Douma on April 7, 2018. Both attacks occurred in towns under the control of al-Qaeda-linked opposition forces. Both attacks resulted in multiple civilian casualties, and both were immediately blamed on the Assad government. However, there is evidence to suggest that the attacks may have been staged by opposition forces for the purpose of drawing the United States and the West deeper into the war."

After it was made public that Tulsi Gabbard had a secret meeting with Bashar al-Assad, I haven't trusted her for a minute. She claims she went on a ‘fact-finding’ mission in support of ‘peace’ for Syrian people, but characterized US-backed rebels as ‘terrorists’. She stated that she was there on a fact-finding mission and the opportunity arose to meet him just came up. Back in 2017 when she met Bashar al-Assad, hardly anyone knew who Tulsi Gabbard was.

Gabbard’s trip may have even been a violation of the Logan Act. Unauthorized individuals aren't supposed to just go conferring with a foreign government, especially one so brutal and involved in a dispute with the US. The US has no diplomatic relations with Syria. How was Tulsi Gabbard able to pull that one off? Gabbard’s office said her visit was approved by the House ethics committee but that's never been substantiated by the committee.

It goes without saying that I don't trust her and I would never endorse --much less vote for her.
