ISIS, Assad, and Turkey Are Waging a Shadow War on U.S. Allies in Syria

Arson, bombs, spies, and propaganda stoke tensions in northeast Syria as Turkish troops mobilize along the border for a threatened invasion.

8/8/19
QAMISHLO, Syria—An enormous fire raged across several wheat fields outside this town on July 6. It was a dry summer day and dark smoke towered over the countryside as the flames spread across the farmland. Some locals watched in awe at the inferno. Others tried to fight back with shovels and rakes. They had little success. They watched the blaze consume their livelihood. Locals told The Daily Beast that the fire started near Turkish military checkpoints along the border and made its way south across Kurdish farms. Scenes like this have become commonplace this summer as fires have burned across Northeast Syria (or “Rojava” as it is known to the Kurds and their supporters). They have been particularly destructive this year and suspiciously concentrated in contested territories that make up the lines between between U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Turkish troops and Syrian pro-regime forces—as well as scattered fires near former ISIS strongholds. Now, as Turkish leaders threaten to invade this region, things could heat up even more. Throughout the summer the Turkish Army has been massing thousands of troops—including tanks and heavy weapons—along its border with SDF-controlled territory. Over the weekend Turkish officials announced they had notified both Russian and American leaders of their intent to launch a new military incursion into Northeast Syria, which would be the third major Turkish military operation in Syria, following incursions in 2016 and 2018. On Sunday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan proclaimed, "We entered Afrin, Jarablus, and Al-Bab. Now we will enter the east of the Euphrates.” .......... continued @ the link above

The Syrian Kurds have been fighting ISIS on the ground with US forces since 2014. They liberated the ISIS capital city of Raqqa in October 2017, and defeated ISIS in Syria at Baghouz in March, 2019. Now Erdogan wants slaughter these people and ethnically cleanse their northern Syrian homeland called Rojava and replace the Kurdish population with Sunni Arabs. This is the Erdogan who closed the Turk border in 2014 as ISIS forces had the Kurdish city of Kobane surrounded on three sides less than half a mile away. This is the Erdogan that relaxed Turkish customs and border controls so that militant Islamist's from all over the world could easily transit Turkey unmolested and join ISIS forces in Syria. This is the Erdogan who allowed ISIS to sell Syrian oil at Turkish ports which helped fund the terrorist organization. Now, Erdogan tells Trump that he must support a NATO ally and step aside while Turkish troops and allied Sunni radicals slaughter the US Kurd allies. Yes, this is the same Erdogan who violently and sadistically represses the Kurdish citizens of Turkey and wonders why they resent him. And yes, this is the same Erdogan that recently purchased Russian military systems and told the US to cram it. The turncoat Erdogan is very fortunate that I am not the Big Kahuna in the Oval Office.

Remember, Trump abruptly decided to upend previous US policy and withdraw troops from Syria after a phone call with Erdogan. Then, Erdogan withdrew his troops from Syria and ISIS began to rebuild in Syria.

Remember, Trump said “We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency,”; “I want to get out, I want to bring the troops back home,

And of course, all the while, Trump lambasted Obama.

And, of course, our intelligence service has concluded the resurgence of ISIS started gangbusters as soon as Trump said what he did.

Oh, and Erdogan will slaughter Kurds no matter what is said or signed between Turkey and the US.

The Kurds would never help us again, and Middle East nations would be wary of joining any future US coalition.

"The Kurds would never help us again, and Middle East nations would be wary of joining any future US coalition."

We've abandoned the Kurds before and here they've come back again because of a common enemy or we give them protection to carry out their warring. In the ME we can always play Sunni Muslim (Saudi Arabia) against Shia Muslim (Iran) as we have for years. We're very good at that. And every country in the world over what time has ever been, and mostly the US the last 30 years, are really good at getting mired in the ME and costing blood and treasure. For sure, it helped bring down the Soviet Union getting tar-babied in the ME as we are now and could easily be again.

USA betrays the deacedes old alliance sealed by blood in NATO, its own principles/laws and international laws for two conjectural groups of terrorists.

After Iraq, Syria has been given to the Shias on the silver plate, and opportunity for Russia to setlle down next to the Med. Sea.

Still, USA keeps alianeting the only ally in the region for a terrorist organisation means replacement of influence in the region.

Good luck to USA with its terrorist ally among the triangle of Shia, Russians and Turks.

Turkey has gone rogue, and has become a pariah state aligned with Russia.

There are more journalists behind bars in Turkey than anywhere else on the globe.

USA has provided thousands of containers of weapons to a terrorist organisation that is also recognised by USA and attacks Turkey the NATO ally for decades, which means USA betrayed the blood-sealed alliance with Turkey in the region for this terrorist group for a short term unknown benefit.

No one is above the laws, that includes journalism; isn't it so in USA?

Anyway, MSM in the west is modern tool for NAZI style propaganda v .2; therefore, i would kindly answer any kind of accusation, questions, etc. of you, if any and interested in the reality.

The Syrian Kurds have not engaged in terrorism against Turkey.

The Turkish Kurds have fought back, but that is understandable due to the unending Turkish government persecutions and discrimination against this minority people.

Where has Turkey been in the fight against ISIS terrorism? See Post# 1.

I hope Turkey gets booted out of NATO asap. You are certainly no longer a democratic rule of law nation.

Apparently, you are a victim of the MSM propaganda.

USA Defence Chief Ashton Carter admits PYD and PKK link in the testimony in April 2016.

General Raymond Thomas, the commander of the U. S. Special Operations Command, tells the story of PKK-YPG-SDF.

Ex-DIA boss Michael Flynn: White House took "willful decision" to fund, train Syria Islamists ISIS

Hasan (Interviewer) (From 11.15 onwards into the interview): “In 2012, your agency was saying, quote: “The Salafists, the Muslim Brotherhood and Al-Qaeda in Iraq [(which ISIS arose out of)], are the major forces driving the insurgency in Syria.” In 2012, the US was helping coordinate arms transfers to those same groups. Why did you not stop that if you’re worried about the rise of Islamic extremism?”

Flynn: “Well I hate to say it’s not my job, but… my job was to ensure that the accuracy of our intelligence that was being presented was as good as it could be, and I will tell you, it goes before 2012. When we were in Iraq, and we still had decisions to be made before there was a decision to pull out of Iraq in 2011, it was very clear what we were going to face.”

Hasan (Interviewer): You are basically saying that even in government at the time, you knew those groups were around, you saw this analysis, and you were arguing against it, but who wasn’t listening?”

Flynn: “I think the administration.”

Hasan (Interviewer): “So the administration turned a blind eye to your analysis?”

Flynn: “I don’t know if they turned a blind eye. I think it was a decision, a willful decision.”

Hasan (Interviewer): “A wilful decision to support an insurgency that had Salafists, Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood?”

Flynn: “A wilful decision to do what they’re doing… You have to really ask the President what is it that he actually is doing with the policy that is in place, because it is very, very confusing.”

Do you still think the same?

You are actually legitimazing the ISIS and Al-qaeda kind of terrorism along with PKK/SDF/YPG.

In Iraq and now Syria, Millions of Syrians with various ethnicities are sheltered in Turkey, and taken care of; how many of them are sheltered in USA?

USA is the closest ally of the ME kingdoms, MBS is buddy of Trump actually.

Interesting behaviour, the more reality cracks your MSM propaganda, the more you get illegimate stance against your previous one and me.

My son has fought ISIS in Syria. Your Erdogan lies don't faze me.

Funny, your asshole president closed off the Turkish border to the Kurd Kobane defenders, but allowed tens of thousands of jihadists to cross Turkey with no problems to join ISIS.

Two more assholes.

Interesting behaviour, the more reality cracks your MSM propaganda, the more you get illegimate stance against your previous one and me.

I'm not interested in your Islamist AKA propaganda. When Trump is gone, I hope the next president reinforces our Kurdish allies.

Legitimization of terrorist organisation over another one is self-explanatory enough about your mentality.

Approximately 80% of the newly arrived refugees at the school are children. More than 180,000 Syrians have fled to Turkey since mid-September as villages and towns in northern Aleppo province and the town of Ayn al-Arab, known as Kobane in Kurdish have seen intense violence.

The Turkish authorities and UNHCR are preparing for the possibility of hundreds of thousands more refugees arriving in the coming days, as the battle for the northern Syrian city of Kobani (also known as Ayn al-Arab) and surrounding areas forces more people to flee

Turkey has been providing assistance to forces from the Iraqi Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to cross into the Syrian border town of Kobane in order to fight against jihadists, Turkey’s foreign minister said Oct. 20 after weeks of demands that Ankara open a corridor to the besieged town.

As i said you are a victim of MSM propaganda, therefore, will unfortunately ignore these facts above.

That is why i am well aware of the fact that I need to crack the MSM propaganda first for the sake of following logical talks with people,if not emotion-driven.

I'm not interested in your Islamist AKA propaganda. When Trump is gone, I hope the next president reinforces our Kurdish allies.

I advise you to read some history of USA-Turkey relationship, geo-politics before choosing to accept a terrorist organisation in the region and world.

And I advise you to stop persecuting the Kurdish people and dump that dictator president of yours.

You Erdogan Turks won't be happy until you have a Kurdish Genocide to keep your Armenian Genocide company.
