The situation on the Syrian-Turkish border remains difficult. On the one hand, the United States is negotiating with Turkey on the formation of a so-called security zone in the region, free from the Popular Self-Defense Detachments (YPG), on the other, they don't stop the supply of weapons and equipment to the Kurds, even increasing their deliveries. What is the true purpose of Washington in this direction?
The representative of the head of the State Department, James Jeffrey, told reporters that the key option under discussion to solve the problem of Northern Syria is, after all, the relocation of all Kurdish troops from the border area. But does this mean that Americans betrayed the interests of the YPG?

Perhaps, if it's true, then they betrayed the interests of Ankara, their NATO ally. The fact is that, despite the agreements with the Turks that has not yet been declared, as well as promises to withdraw from SAR, the United States continues to supply weapons, equipment and other means to the Kurdish Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The last large convoy recently arrived in the position of Kurds in the north of the Arab Republic from Iraq, and this is at least the seventh such convoy since the beginning of the year. The SDF fighters, in turn, ship the delivered weapons to the border, apparently forming new outposts there and strengthening the old ones due to a possible new Turkish operation.
What is the ultimate goal of the United States in the region?

Popular Libyan journalist Mustafa Feturi believes that Americans are at risk of getting troubles following this way. They are well aware of this, and therefore they are now trying to straddle both worlds.
The US position on the Syrian crisis hasn't changed. They also want to overthrow the an inconvenient government and the legitimate president of the republic, Bashar al-Assad. But this is almost impossible, and therefore they strive at least to dismember Syria so that the current leadership could control as little of the country as possible. Washington does it by someone else's hands - first of all by the Kurds, and also partially the Turks. One way or another, interacting with both these parties, the Americans brought the situation to an almost intractable paradox and now they are trying to get away with it.
However, now USA is trying to please both sides in some way, the United States can provoke a new more serious conflict in the region: if the Kurds move away from the border, then with a large number of weapons clashes on the new line of demarcation can only expand.

It turns out that the US is trying to play on both sides, using Kurds and Turks in its policies. It's possible that the YPG units will be relegated to the south for some distance, but they will continue to exist anyway, and with new weapons. It means, now the Americans are trying to find some kind of intermediate option, but it's not known what all this will lead to in the end.
However, Washington isn't much worried about the likely new major conflict, but rather about the position of official Damascus. It's much more important for him that the lands to the east of the Euphrates won't be under the jurisdiction of the legitimate government.

The OIL lands won't be under Syrian control. That's the bottom line. At least, for now. The US has stirred up crisis after crisis in the ME, causing humungous human loss of life. It's more of the Economic Full Spectrum Dominance attempting to control the World. The US exports death, misery, chaso, poverty and destruction while pretending to be promoting democracy. We should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing our gubmint to get away with this crap.
