President Trump is an arse. While waging economic and unconventional war against Venezuela and now Cuba under the pretext of these countries being controlled by predatory dictatorships, Mr. Trump supports and protects the most vile, vicious dictatorial monarchy in the Middle East which is killing 10,000s directly and over a hundred thousand indirectly in Yemen. Worse still US SOF and air strikes (including drone strikes) regularly breach Yemeni sovereignty and kill innocents without Congressional approval. Trump supports the thug President Duterte in the Philippines who has killed more than 12,000 people through extrajudicial killings and the mass-murdering former Egyptian general President el-Sisi in Egypt. He backs the twisted warlord Field Marshal Haftar as he slaughters in Libya. Trump celebrates President Xi Jin-Ping in China as that country is violently oppressing over a million Uighurs, Khazaks and Turkomen in Western China.

It's time to impeach this fool at the helm of America and then publicly and forcefully repudiate his twisted foreign policy.

No one is much better. The House of Saud is sitting on TEN TRILLION dollars in petroleum assets.
Even if we never buy another drop of oil from them, they can still wreak havoc on the world economy on a whim and never even feel it.

TEN. TRILLION. DOLLARS. Think about that for a moment.
If we were to invest FIFTEEN TRILLION right NOW we could achieve total independence from the global petroleum economy should we choose to do so but instead we invested sixteen trillion in recapitalizing a smorgasboard of global multinational banks and corporations back in 2009, if the Fed is to be believed. (and why shouldn't it be)

But when a ten trillion dollar cockroach sneezes, the entire planet catches a cold...nay...PNEUMONIA.

Dire for everyone except folks in Texas anyway.
In less than a year and a half Texas had ramped up production sufficient to almost meet the need.
That didn't end the crisis but it prevented our economy from finishing a headlong fall into the abyss.
It was the beginning of the "Urban Cowboy" era, so to speak.

I just spoke a reality. Republicans are not particularly pro-Muslim, in any form. Democrats are pro-Muslim, in some ways. After all, it was the left who objected to Trump's travel ban that included some Muslim countries. These are observed realities, but different than getting into whether it's good policy or not, either way.

Republicans are always very supportive of wealthy Arab countries as long as they are aligned w Israel and opposed to Iran. (S.A. and U.A.E.) It boggles my mind that the U.S. and Israel glad hand the leaders of the very nation that has spread the most toxic form of Sunni Islam- Salafism. S.A. just released some of their female citizens who promoted the right for women to drive. Following their release, they arrested relatives, instead. They send agents to foreign nations to harass or murder any Saudi who dares criticize the nation. As noted they are committing terrible human right violations in Yemen.

Meanwhile, Shiite Iran would certainly evolve into a moderate Nation but for the persistent aggressive rhetoric coming from our Repub leaders. Abandoning the Iran nuclear deal successfully undermined the moderate political leaders in Iran. Nice work, Trump

I'll definitely agree that Iran is more moderate than SA and also has a much higher chance of becoming even more moderate. Of course, they've allied themselves with Russia and we still hate Russia a lot for some reason, so bettering relations with Iran isn't going to happen anytime soon.

We'll have to figure out how to get our nuts out of the vice of SA with their petro-dollar they run, helping prop up our currency. I dunno how we'd go about doing that, unless we can pull of some giant oil deal with Iran to take their place. It would most likely be a net gain if we did that.
