Majority of Afghans didnt even know what 9/11 was when we invaded

Of course they didn't.

We had no valid reason to invade either Iraq or Afghanistan after 9/11.

I protested this back then, and I still argue it to this day.

IMO it was a misdirection, using American anger to guide us into a war that never needed to happen, all to get Bush Jr. re-elected for a second term.

We could have simply targeted the actual Al-Qaeda organization in surgical search and destroy missions; saving lives, money, resources, and preventing the whole Middle East ISIS/migrant mess we find ourselves in today.

There's a good chance the majority of Afghans didn't know what Manhattan was.
But they were sheltering Osama bin Laden. They moved him around and hid him even after they knew what it was about.

Besides over there, killing infidels is like hating MAGA hats over here.

He wasn't wanted very badly, was he. Just enough to deflect attention to Al Qaida's biggest enemy in the region, Saddam Hussein.

There were no afghans involved in 9/11, only Saudis. So we show our enemies we're so crazy that if they attack us we'll attack someone else entirely. Yeah, that'll really make those Saudis think twice next time. :roll:

Iraq, obviously not. I think we can all agree on that.

The Taliban was the ruling authority in whatever compromises "Afghanistan" (a nation by arbitrarily defined borders only; even at its peak the Taliban controlled what, a third of the country?) post 9/11, and they WERE harboring OBL at the time, so I can't say that going after him was invalid. That said, we cocked it up something fierce.

To be historically accurate, it wasn't ONLY Saudis. Just a whole lot of them.

Of the 19, it was 2 from UAE, one Egyptian, one Lebanese, and 15 Saudis. Zacarias Moussaoui (the 20th hijacker, who got busted before 9/11) was French by birth but Morroccan by descent.

Well, no. "They," as in a bunch of ****ing goat herders and poppy farmers, weren't doing jack ****. The provincial "government" of a tribally held pseudo-nation was moving him around, and yeah, maybe they had a bit of materiel and/or material help from the warlords and dickheads who ran the craters the Taliban didn't control, but let's not pretend this was some unified front.

The reason Afghanistan has never been tamed, by the USSR or us or the ****ing Mongols, is because THERE IS NO AFGHANISTAN. It's a made-up country.

Most of the people who perpetrated 9/11 were Saudi nationals who planned the whole operation out of Hamburg, Germany. Several were trained in AQ camps in Afghanistan and elsewhere. Most were fluent in English. Several had attended schools in the west.
 
Mohammed Atta was the ringleader; he was the head of an AQ cell in Hamburg. He basically answered to KSM, who answered to OBL.

Really, 9/11 isn't as complicated as people make it out to be. Well, except for Thoreau, who is still trying to figure out the holograms.

Not overtly, but its pretty much common knowledge that members of the Saudi royal family have funnelled a crapton of money to AQ and associated organizations.

9/11 might not have been openly funded by the House of Saud, but christ, it might as well have been.

The Saudi Royal family is huge, and they had a lot of internal bickering going on at the time, so I don't doubt for a minute that a couple family members (in association with Omar al-Bayoumi) may have been involved.

its straight forward America Created Taliban or so Called MUJAHIDIN, Taliban Defeated USSR, America got revenge of Vietnam from USSR. 9/11 was Inside job becuase Taliban was a future thread for America. There will be no peace in afghanistan you know why? because its a Battle ground for all super country to fight there proxy wars AMERICA+RUSIA+INDIA+PAKISTAN+CHINA. unfortunately poor afghan are the one who are ****ed up in this battle and yet don't know whats happening. its called using and abusing for there own profit common sense.

Afghanistan is the battle field for the proxy wars and there will always be fighting because Afghanistan is surrounded by Powerful Atomic bombs countries such as INDIA, PAKISTAN, RUSIA and CHINA. they all fights there wars in Afghanistan. America attacked Afghanistan and now runaway with NATO and give GOVT to the Corrupt people . Afghanistan is still controlled by Taliban if America want to rid of them they could do it easily but they not want that because in future they can use the same people against Rusia, China, India and Pakistan.

Feel sorry for the people of Afghanistan who doesn't know what the heck is happening and they are the one who are killed in this dirty game

What utter nonsense. We tried to reason with Afghanistan aka the taliban at that time............we told them plain and simple...give up Osama Bin Laden or we will attack. They had a choice...it was their decision and they may a bad one. Tough titty.

Of all the things in the world that are deserving of your sympathy nd pity...you choose this one???? Pathetic I hope you are not American.

The bush's being oil people were very tight with Saudia Arabia....we may have gotten some sort of concessions from them....aka co-operation of some sort?.....I hope we got something but with Bush...and as with obama ...even worse...his bowing down to them....our Presidential leadership is lacking too often.

We finally got somewhere in there with some leadership skills and the moxie to do things that needed to be done but look at how the liberals, the media, and hollywood hates him.

A lot of folks a lot more deserving of sympathy than the Afghans. A lawless people to being with who have made a living off supplying heroin to the addicts of the world. I would not waste any sympathy on them at all.
