Maybe using a microphone was a bit excessive, but there was nothing illegal about it. The IDF soldiers admitted as much. Israelis hold no special place in their hearts for American Christians, in fact some openly shout death threats if you display your religion in public over there. And while we often like to think of Israel as being a tolerant, democratic, pro-American oasis in a sea of anti American Islamic countries, I think we're merely imagining the Israel we wish existed, instead of the one that does exist.

From what I've read, Jerusalem is unique in attracting some really fanatical Jews such that the more secular ones couldn't stand living there and had to flee the city. So I wouldn't paint the entire country with the same brush. Every country has its crazies.

Jerusalem also attracts fanatical Christians like this ill-mannered American lout. Who the hell does he think he is arrogantly demanding the right to be a nuisance in someone else's capital?

I think the Israelis were far too patient with this arrognt idiot. I had hoped that the days of the obnoxious Ugly American were over.

Comes as no surprise to me; You will find extremist idiots in just about any religion, regardless of the nation....the United States and Israel are certainly not exempt from this particular disease.

So you think it's appropriate to

1) issue death threats at people over religious differences
2) attempt to get people arrested by lying about them hurting children
3) disregard laws in order to deny them even speaking in public
4) slap someone's camera

All of those things occurred during the video, and they're all worse than someone speaking through a microphone about their religion.

If this loud mouthed oaf had had the common good manners not to shout through a load speaker at the citizens of the country he was visiting none of this would have happened. It was entirely his fault and I have not an ounce of sympathy for him.

I can understand that part. Like I said, using a microphone in a crowded setting to draw people to a cause is not the best way to go about things. However, every so often we're granted a glimpse at how many Israelis feel about Americans, and it's not a very flattering picture. Certainly not worth the $64 billion we gave them last year, or however high that number was.

It's almost like we'd take your words and actions as representing the average American and decide they're all Jew hating radicals.
But we don't. Your views are pointed and laughed at by the overwhelming majority of people here because they're in the minority, and likewise so are the ones presented by the video in the OP.

It looked and sounded more like she was getting her translation messed up. She certainly wouldn't be telling him he couldn't do that because it is legal. That would make no sense.

Israelis hold no special place in their hearts for American Christians,
Why should they?

And while we often like to think of Israel as being a tolerant, democratic, pro-American oasis in a sea of anti American Islamic countries, I think we're merely imagining the Israel we wish existed, instead of the one that does exist.
Among those middle Eastern Countries, Israel is far more tolerant, democratic and Pro-American then it's Muslim neighbors are. So you really do not have a point.
And pointing to a Christian openly preaching amongst those who do not want it doesn't make a valid point.

Rabbis who follow the Talmud teach that the non-Jewish world are only useful as slaves anyway. So why would I expect you to agree with anything I say about Israel? I mean, your comment doesn't make sense. You pretend like you're open to discussing the issues, but you're not. You pat Americans on the head who're blissfully ignorant, or willfully blind in their support of everything Israel does.

Israel is pro-American when they're getting something from us. They don't honor their relationship with us, aside from the material benefits and physical protection from our military. Israel has been selling high grade weaponry to China for 30 years, some of it which was given to Israel by us. They've also been extensively building economic and strategic relationships with China since they supported Mao Zedong. Israel will sell America down the drainage system of life the second we are no longer useful to them.

Dominionist/Reconstructionist dogma says that Jews are "Christians who aren't perfected yet" and that all Jews, indeed all peoples, must accept Christ or they will be put to death.
Don't take my word for it, it's all out in the open if you research their sermons and their stated beliefs.

So, this is what happens when you have competing fundamentalists in the same space.
And these competing fundamentalists don't care much about the ordinary people who just want to go about their day being decent people. If they can't scoop them up, they condemn them.

Religion is like a penis.
It's okay to have one.
It's even okay to be proud of yours.
But you should not go whipping it out in public,
and you should not be allowed to try to cram it down my throat.

The only REAL reason Christian Taliban like the Dominionists are interested in Israel is for the real estate.

Yea, Jews and christians can be pretty religious and butt heads over theology. Your point?

Is that what you think? That's nice.

Are you kidding? We just elected the Ugliest American, and the legions of his Ugly American fan base are cheering, because they think that the rest of the world NEEDS Ugly Americans, who excel at...being ugly.

Ok, so lets say a group of Israelis went to proselytize in Tyler, Texas. Are you going to accost them, and tell them you should kill them?

he is a loud mouth oaf i to have no sympathy for him either but death threats slander and lawbreaking are not acceptable to me because you're annoyed

its disturbing your ok with that

What does any of this pathetic and laughable comment has to do with my careful explanation to you about extremists and radicals and how they're looked at by the overwhelming majority of society?

I mentioned your views as an example since they're laughable in the eyes of the majority of Americans (and human society in general).

they shouldn't have to like any of us let alone a loud religious asshole yelling at everyone

respecting human rights would be a better thing to withhold aid over though i think the right of palestinians are getting trampled more them the rights of americans with israel

That would not be a relevant comparison.
Try having Jews proselytize in a predominately Muslim area or perhaps in a predominately Christian area of Israel.
Then you would have a more relevant comparison.

iLOL
Apparently you need better source material for reading.

Well prove me wrong then. You can't, so you won't, but you'll make another fact free post nonetheless. You can't debunk what I've said, because you haven't bothered to read about the topics I've mentioned.

My comparison was the most relevant, because it was the reverse of what occurred in the video I posted, and it was geared towards the poster I was responding to.
