Donald Trump Has Betrayed the Kurds and Iraq Will Suffer For It

An open letter from Maj. Gen. Aziz Weysi Bani to the American people. Maj-Gen. Bani is chief commander of the Zerevani Peshmerga forces and plays a central role in leading Kurdish operations.

You gotta admire the Kurds and they may be right to want a homeland of their own, but damn, that could lead to a complete unravelling of the Middle East. I don't know how we support them without being prepared for a fight with Iran, Iraq and Turkey.

in the summer of 1998 after a very short conversation with then Texas Lt. Gov. Rick Perry, I started telling folks don't vote for GW Bush in 2000. Two things happened; (1) people thought I was crazy, or on drugs (2) I told those same folks that if GW gets elected we will be in a war in Iraq in some time frame.

Granted, it did take Bush a tad over 2 years to get his war in Iraq but my prediction become reality. There is another reality; there is no reason the US needs to be Iraq baby sitting these assholes. Let the Iraqis fight their own damn fights. Bring our guys home. At least GW can be on record as having the two looooooongest wars in US history; both = failures.

The whole pr9blem stems back to the end of WWI. Even the problem of radical Islam. Suddenly, a place called "Iraq" was created out of the leftover space after the creation of Turkey and Jordan out of the old Ottoman Empire. Now we expect people to be loyal to this place?
