Swaggering Syria Shoots At Israeli Jets, Flying Towards War?

I know what was in the article................... that's the first line , did you even bother to read any further ?

Had you have done so , and it wasn't much further to stick with it , you would have come to the part that said..........." These missiles were calculated and intentionally targeted shots from an S-200 Russian missile system aimed at Israeli jets that were, quite frankly, targeting Syrian rocket launchers.

Do you believe that people being fired on have the right to fire back ? Doesn't sound like it

If the Israelis wanted the launchers destroyed the wrods woukd have been "fired in and destroyed Syrian rocket launchers"

You invaded Iraq on the basis of information known to be incorrect by both Bush and Blair; You attacked them for supposedly supporting the 9/11 bombers, this reasoning was specious at the time and stinky now. You and Britain went to war without a mandate from the UN making your attack and invasion illegal; Moreover, you went to war, you shattered a country that had NOTHING to do with 9/11, you killed thousands of innocents, destabilised an entire region and enabled the growth of various factional groups such as Al-Qaeda and Daesh.

I said hundreds of thousands of Iraqis were killed , that's accurate. I said millions have fled , that's accurate too

On legality, it is illegal to invade a country to induce a change of government without that specific mandate from the UN. AFAIK You didn't have that mandate thus the war was illegal.

Read the article again and understand that the Israelis have been violating Syrian airspace and attacking anything and anybody deemed to be assisting Assad, it's all in there. What do you think the Israeli jets planned to do to Syrian rocket launchers ? Sprinkle them with fairy dust and make them disappear ?

The information was deliberately sexed up to make a case for war against Iraq. Think back , remember the yellowcake accusations against the Iraqi regime ? Or the charges of anthrax attacks in the US ?

9/11 set the climate for forthcoming wars/missions that had been planned at least since 1997 ( PNAC ) so..........

You attacked and invaded Afghanistan because of 9/11 but you should at least know that , as is normal in international relations , you have to provide some proof that the people you think did it actually did it. IIRC the Taliban requested proof before handing over the accused and the US refused.

Seeing as 15 of the 19 alleged hijackers came from Saudi Arabia you would think that they would have copped for the backlash........................... but they,re your best Arab buddies. Friends of the president etc etc

What are you talking about? Targeting was what the article stated.

They neither entered Syrian airspace nor did they engage the launchers...

Who killed the "hundreds of thousands"?

It wasn't the coalition forces the last time I checked.

It was the "peaceful" sanctions that could have been stopped the moment Saddam complied with the UN mandates.

The author clearly states that both sides had " targeted " each other , stop wasting time.. That he states that the Israelis had " quite frankly targeted " Syrian rocket launchers shows , to me at least , that they quite frankly had put themselves in a position to be fired at by the Syrians.

BTW you seem to have no problems with Israelis flying into Syrian airspace and shooting at government forces , why is that ?

Remember that the Golan heights are Israel only in Israeli eyes and those of their supporters , for most it is Israeli occupied Syria

you have a problem with your chronology chip . Sanctions were in force from 1990 until 2003 so are not in the figures. The sanctions were a UN sponsored genocide and an event that endorsed my worse fears about the organisation itself

Rockets launched from Syria drop on Israeli citizens heads in the Golan and thus Israel reacts with airstrikes against targets in Syria.
Trying to claim that Israel should not react, well, is just hysterical nonsense.

The Golan Heights are Israeli occupied Syria and well you know it. If you were that concerned you would move your citizens back to your own country instead of using them as land grabbing wouldbe martyrs

I never claimed it was , I said it was the justification for attacking Afghanistan , that's correct isn't it ?

What do you think about what I said regarding proof and the Talibans offer to hand over people if proof of involvement was given ?
