your thoughts.

and remember, there as never was a palestinian state. or even took abaut one. until the jews came.

Office of the Historian - Milestones - 1945-1952 - Creation of Israel, 1948

Palestine was simply yet another British territory, but Israel was the aggressor and started the war to take the territory as their own, as well as massively immigrating into the region. Britain opposed them and the US didn't take a side until later, by recognizing them as a state. The Palestinians simply responded to aggression, although they are poor tacticians and have since committed acts that are obviously wrong, denigrating their reputation in the world in the process... I can't say I'm "for" the Palestinians, due to these actions, but I'm not for the Israelies either - the initial aggressor gets the lion's share of the blame in my book.

To sum up my views: F--- Israel, the US, Hamas, and the Palestinian Authority. Because of crazies on both sides, you have Israelis and Palestinians living in, to put it lightly, extremely unpleasant conditions where ordinary Israelis and Palestinians live in fear.

your thoughts.

I really do not give damn about Israelis or Palastinians. I just wish people calling themselves Americans would take Israel's dick out of their mouths and quit acting as though just because someone is jewish that somehow entitles that person to some ****hole terrorist target capital of the world out in the middle east and should tons of US tax payer dollars just because your ancient ancestors once lived there. I do not believe in reparations. Just because something happened to your ancestors or because your ancestors once lived some place does not entitle you to anything today.I also wish people calling themselves Christians would quit seeing Jews as God's chosen people. If you really believe that Jesus is the son of God and that Christianity replaced Judiasm then that should mean that jews are no longer God's chosen people and are just people practicing an obsolete religion. The only reason Israel exist today is because the Ottomans lost and to the victor goes the spoils of war and thats why there is a Israel today. As a country the Israelis have every right to defend themselves against the terrorists, to build walls on their borders and to retaliate with as much force as they want when that terrorist country attacks them. As far as I am concerned we should let the Palestinians and Israelis duke it out without any help from the US or any other country and congratulate the winner when the whole ordeal is over instead of these little bull **** waste of time peace talks.

Actually there was a Palestinian state/country.

There are extremists on both sides. Neither side is 100% right.

Now accepting the award for the posting most likely to be moved to a different forum is.........

How about both? I thought the civilized world had largely decided that self governance was a basic human right. Both groups have the right to a government that will protect them.

I support freedom, equality, justice, & soveriegnity for the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Israel, because Hamas sucks. If the Palestinians had a government that wasn't terrorists, I could probably side with their government more often (because it wouldn't suck).

Then why don't you side with the PA in the West Bank more often? Sure they may terrorize their own people from time to time but they have been extraordinarily compliant with Israel and their people have got F all in return

That's Funny.
Even your own link continues with the Opposite on it's next page:
Office of the Historian - Milestones - 1945-1952 - The Arab-Israeli War of 1948
The Arab-Israeli War of 1948 broke out when five Arab nations invaded territory in the former Palestinian mandate immediately following the announcement of the independence of the state of Israel on May 14, 1948."..."
It's Incredible/bizarre claims like the above that make some people wonder if there is something more than 'anti-zionism' involved.

It was decided Israel would be a state, perhaps a larger one, By the British and League of Nations following WWI, preceding the 'massive immigration' resulting from WWII.
British favoritism for the Arabs/The 'Lawrence of Arabia legacy' (WND?) however helped change the ME map to one more favorable to Arabs. (ie, stopping Jewish immigration, creating Jordan, Screwing the Kurds with 'Iraq')
Both people's knew there would be a Jewish State and an Arab one for quite a while.
See The Weizmann-Faisal Agreement for just one evidence of this.

That's a similar justification the one that we used to colonize India.

Well that attitude certainly eliminates the need for any thought on the subject.

Thank you. I think the original question was deliberately malicious and reflects the limited capacity of the brain of the person posing it and to be more specific his inability to see anything but extremes. Clearly his inability to perceive grey but only simple black and whites speaks for itself as do some of the other extremist responses.

I appreciate people like you. I know you are the majority out there no matter how tempting it is to think these extremists are the status quo.

The fact I am pro Israel does not make me anti Palestinian. I know many people including me who want Palestinians to have a state on the West Bank and in Gaza. It doesn't make us anti Israel.

Are these the same Palestinians that danced with joy when the twin towers collapsed?

Yeah, I have a lot of sympathy for them.

Well if a 5 seconds of news footage are not a worthy barometer of how worthy a people are to enjoy the same rights as anyone else then i don't know what is. Also watch the video and you may get an idea of WHY some that was the reaction of SOME people living there.
