Sometimes the answer is a simple one: How the FBI handled the Clinton and Trump investigations.

by Grim17 on 04-30-19 at 03:38 AM
.

Back in 2004 I learned a political lesson that not only has stuck with me ever since, but I think might hold the answer to a current issue that very few on either side of the isle have thought to consider.

Shortly after we invaded Iraq back in 2003, questions about those stockpiles of WMD we were told Saddam possessed started to surface. It didn't take long before it was apparent that those stockpiles simply didn't exist, which lead to the Senate Intelligence

A New Low for the American People Seems Inevitable

by Grim17 on 01-09-16 at 07:10 PM
Looking back to 2008, although the election of Barack Obama was a disappointment to me personally, from a national standpoint it was something for the American to be proud of. We finally proved something that for many years prior, I already knew to be true... that as a nation, racial prejudice no longer held a prominent role within our society as it had just 50 years ago, and had become nothing more than a societal anomaly.

Outsourcing and the Decline of the American Workforce

by Grim17 on 06-03-15 at 10:23 PM
This is from a post I made in response to a NY Times article about Disney laying off workers in Florida.

There are many reasons in my opinion for this kind of thing happening, and happening more frequently. First off, America can no longer compete with foreign companies and foreign workforces. The cost of doing business in the US is high compared to other nations. Corporate taxes are the highest in the world, wages are among the highest in the world and the amount of costly regulations

The Politics of Racial Division: A dangerous strategy built on lies

by Grim17 on 12-29-14 at 02:21 AM
.

This is a segment from Mellisa Harris-Perry on MSNBC back in August. The segment is centered on white racism against black people. More specifically, on her perceived epidemic of racist white cops shooting and/or killing unarmed black men. She gave 9 examples over the last 10 years where an unarmed black man was killed at the hands of white cops. Here is the segment, and my analysis follows:

The tragic tale of a stolen legacy

by Grim17 on 05-26-14 at 03:19 PM
Back in 2008 when Obama was elected president, it was different for me as a conservative and a republican voter, than it normally is when a democrat gets elected who I really opposed. What made it different was that instead of just the pure disappointment and that gut feeling that American voters had made a mistake, which is the norm, I acknowledged that there were some very positive things that could come out of this that would be beneficial for the country as a whole, but most importantly for
