Succession on HBO is a sleeper hit that everyone on all sides of the aisle can watch. I think it's one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I watch a lot of TV. DP especially would love it. Succession is about a media family, like the Murdochs and all the schemes that they do. They show off their wealth and power without a care in the world. The company owns TV stations, satellites, rockets, theme parks, websites, movie studios
The family run down goes like this:
It's kinda like Billions meets Game of Thrones, except these people have 20X the money the the hedge funders have on Billions and they don't seem to be running from financial regulators every other episode.
The family run down goes like this:
- Logan Roy (Brian Cox)- the patriarch- Nothing, and I mean nothing happens that he doesn't know about. First season deals with the aftermath of a healthscare that he has.
- Kendall Roy (Jeremy Strong- THIS dude can act!!)- Second-born son. Depressed and entitled. Daddy's boy. Has a Drug problem
- Connor Roy (Alan Ruck)- The oldest son who stays away from the media world, has done nothing in his life, but has aspirations for politics.
- Siobhan "Shiv" Roy (Sarah Snook)- The daughter of the family, she's a political mastermind who wants to take over the company from her father. Looks great in tight pants.
- Tom Wambsgans (Matthew Macfadyen)- The fiancé of Shiv Roy, an affable goof who has a hard time dealing with things that don't go his way. Prone to anger issues and likes to throw things. Frequently questions his status in the family and his marriage to shiv...
- Roman Roy (Kieran Culkin)- The Douchebag youngest son who just likes to **** with things and people except the actual ****ing of women for some odd reason... He's like the internet in a person...
- Greg Hirsch (Nicholas Braun)- The dumb long lost nephew who has to navigate the family drama and do some pretty terrible things for Tom.
