October is a fun month. Tomorrow I'm going to dig out the Halloween decorations and put up in the front yard and house. I plan to have small homemade ghosts (I make from a white sheet) hanging from tree branches. I have a cute (not scary) witch, I'll hang up on the lilac bush. Pumpkins will be by the door. And I have bats and black spiders to hang up by the door. Oh, and I have pumpkin lights.

We never have trick-or-treaters these days, but at least we can enjoy our decorations. The neighbors have said they like them too.

What decorations do other folks have? Any scary movies or activities planned?

we'll probably do lights / pumpkins / Jack O' Lanterns and hand out treats to the neighborhood kiddos. October is probably my favorite month. Also, my birthday is on Halloween.

Me and my wife do a Halloween movie marathon. I like #3 the best but she hates it.

My girlfriend and myself will have a few guests over for dinner. Have assorted candy set up for the kids. No pumpkin carving. Last year it was a total disaster. I had a nightmare where hundreds of pumpkins rolled out of the patch and chased me...lots of fun. We will watch A Nightmare on Elm Street 2, Scary Movie 1 and 2 then settle down for poker. This should take all night I hope.
Costume ?
Being myself is enough to scare people.....Happy Halloween !

You mean we were to have taken those down? I can see maybe the pumpkin, ( I can actually see the spot where I put it last year. The grass is dead there. ) but nothing here couldn’t stand up to the elements.

Halloween has been dying where I live, I stopped doing much in the way of decorations two years ago. I still hand out candy, and I generally hand out good/different from everyone else candy, but the way things are going I might stop that to. I have a great sadness about this, kids of today increasingly miss out as the old traditions increasingly fail, with little of value replacing them.

I think that new movie with Jack Black in the haunted house looks interesting.

I'll be scaring the heck out of little kids, no treats all tricks. Like daring them to taste chilled raw whale's liver (made from cream cheese, corn starch, gelatin, dark red beets, cranberry sauce, and blackberry reserves) it quivers on the plate....

Fake shrunken heads hanging everywhere. "See this one, it's Uncle Clyde.... "back from the cannibal islands" (with the batteries inserted, he burps)

No fake witches, I have my wife. That long black dress and the veil, she's got it down, down I tell you.

Flying white sharks hovering over the doorway and the entrance hall.

Lots of bug juice. Pastry skulls, candied hands, "care to try a finger? Only slightly gone green..... yummy!"

I love Halloween, it's so much fun.

Every year we do a 'pumkinfest' where my whole family gets together and we carve pumpkins, eat some good stews, and have a couple drinks - it's a blast. I don't really decorate too much but I always enjoy the houses that do especially the ones that go all out. I usually am the one to take my daughter out trick or treating and since she is about as tall as me, I usually throw on a mask and go right along with her. :2razz:
