You know, sometimes when I raise my head from all the infighting going on on-line, birds like these instill a new level of calmness and show me the world is still a very beautiful place. They had been on my truck for the last few days, so this time I got out the camera.
Sometimes our souls need the message of calm and peace they bring with them. Just a feeling and an observation.
Nothing about Trump, guns, Russians, or whatever. Just nature doing what it has done long before any of us were even born.

They seem to already pooping on your truck.......sorry it just jumped off the keyboard!

That's a pretty bird, and decent shot.

Another bird I find to be surprisingly beautiful, are crows. Honest, next chance you get to look at one up close in the light, take it. They have a cascade of color, their black is incandescent.

Good pics! Don't let the cats get them.

I've seen a few hawks and owls here, along with all you's expect with being close to rivers and the ocean.

Thank you. Nope, the kitties all roam around the backyard. This is in the front driveway.
I even put a little bird food on the roof for them.
I am glad I got to pause and see the beauty in this.
They seemed to be posing for me to take their pics.

Thanks for the tip. I will do just that if the sun ever comes out again and is bright.

2 moves ago the house I lived in had a large deck out back, and I set up 2 bird feeders. We got a lot of really interesting birds. However, I noticed that they had a flight pattern that involved flying straight up my driveway and over the top of the house. My car, roof and driveway started getting coated with bird poop. I moved the feeders down to a shed in the corner of the lot. That made viewing harder, and my car was still getting nailed. I had to take the feeders down. Shame, as some of those birds were really cool, and not types I normally saw.:(

Nice. They remind me a little of Robins, but more blue.

I had never seen these before.
You get your usual sparrows, blackbirds, crows, cardinals, and bluejays, but not once have i seen there pretty little guys.
This is why i keep the camera at-hand most of the time.
That, and space aliens. You never know when space aliens might drop by.
