I enjoy seeking blogs like those following, for a glimpse at the America past and present we don't usually see. Even tho this section is apolitical, some of what these sites and blogs show is at times political, but politics is not their thrust or theme, American culture is what they offer. I hope some of you find them as interesting as I do, and occasionally, as I stumble across a new one or revisit one in my archives, I'll add another.

This one is adults only. Not safe at work. Anyone who is offended by some graphic sexual content should ignore this one, even tho sexual content is a small part of this blogger's explorations, and a bit is political:

You are welcome. In time, I'll post more. I'm always on the lookout for ones that are new to me.

You might like this twitter page. I spent a good hour last night surfing all the pics.

Interesting. Thanks.

BTW the young woman in blue with the flowered hat, is a very young actress who had starred in Polanski's first English language movie, Repulsion, a psychological horror suspense, as a psychotic killer woman, an absolute rarity in film, Catherine Deneuve. Much more frightening than Knife in the Water. It is a well known photo of Catherine. Her companion in Lavender, another young up and coming actress, Helen Mirren. Both on their way to the offices of Peter Sellers. I doubt the twitter poster has a clue.

And the photographer, had no idea who the subjects were, a photograph of opportunity for the then still young and great photographer Bill Cunningham.
