A man who was found guilty of reckless endangerment after his drone injured two people during Seattle’s 2015 Pride Parade, including a woman knocked unconscious, was sentenced Friday to 30 days in jail.
The sentence, which also included a $500 fine, was imposed on Paul M. Skinner, 38, by Seattle Municipal Court Willie Gregory, according to the City Attorney’s Office.

Gregory told Skinner, who lost control of the drone, he recognized the incident that injured the parade goers was an accident, the office said in a news release. But Skinner had “engaged in conduct that put people in danger of being injured, which is what happened,” Gregory said.

This is bound to start happening everywhere now. How long before someone dies?...

I guarantee you far less people will die per mile flown than die in car accidents.

This is just a new form of movement/surveillance/transport/etc.. One that I think is VERY cool.

It will be regulated and it will be a great help to humankind...far more than it already is now, imo.

It's not just about safety but privacy issues. I recall a story of a man who took a drone down with a shotgun because it was being used to spy on his daughter who was sunbathing. And actually, once autonomous cars take off they could end up more safe than the drones. Then combine the technologies, in your video, could put tons of delivery drivers out of work

Yeah they're cool, but like any toy, only as harmless as the hands they're in
