Space used to be big in the 90s with Star Trek, Babylon 5, and Farscape. Now there doesn't seem to be any space adventure shows. Fantasy was once thought to be a genre reserved for geeks but Game of Thrones has garnered a huge audience. Should they attempt to make the space genre mainstream and respected?

It's getting harder and harder to create good science-fiction since we (as a society) are taking more and more of the "fiction" out of it. I mean...we're finding habitable planets light years away now. It's harder to make believable things, when actual science disproves so much now.
