Snowden

Because he divulged top secret information. There is a reason it was classified. Just because he didn't like the facts, doesn't get him off the hook.

A government can't validly classify something just to hide the fact that they are illegally spying on Americans. The government was spying illegally on its own people. Just because they classified it shouldn't get them off the hook, but they never had to answer for it. Americans are too stupid for that.

I got as far as "Considering there is no rule of law in this country today" before I realized you weren't dealing from a full deck.

He's just being a realist and he made a damn good point. If there was rule of law then instead of Snowden having to hide, some NSA officials would be arraigned for treason, espionage, and conspiracy against the American people. But they didn't because there is no rule of law in this country, as Mr. half-deck was saying.

Should it though? What if he discovered that the government was grinding human babies into dog food? That's top secret information, so don't do or say anything? And by the way, "he" is not the only one who didn't like the facts, not by a damn sight.

I don't care what those "facts" that you care so much about say. You are paranoid. I assume because of your concern for grinding up babies, you are pro-life, right?

If he divulged classified information, which goes through a rigorous process to actually become classified, and for good reasons, he should go straight to Fort Leavenworth.

If you had been keeping up, you would know that almost everything the government does is classified. It don't need no stinkin' court with the Unitary Executive in full sway. Congress abdicated power with AUMF and only 1 person in the House objected.

Exposing the crimes of government is NEVER a crime, it is obligation fulfilled. Those men should receive commendations, but instead they are prosecuted.

That so many in the country support such criminal action speaks volumes. We do have the government we deserve.

Bull****. I spent a career in the military, with the highest clearances. What you claim is just not true.

If the government were grinding human babies into dog food, you would be a good little boy and not report that to anyone simply because it's classified information?

It is not true that exposing the crimes of government is a civic obligation?

Does this mean you support government law-breaking? Does a career in the military extinguish one's ability to know right from wrong?
