Ah yes, 1984, where they strap a rat to your face.

Funny you mention Stephen Coonts, I just finished reading The Flight of the Cannibal Queen.

Yes, the police state in the US grows steadily.

Orwell proposed that you would have to watch the propaganda on your TV because of a camera that made sure that you were watching. With unsocial media we are way beyond that.

InfoWars. You tricked me into watching something spawned from InfoWars. I'm annoyed, but I can only respond with good game...

Which party brought in the Patriot Act?

That's a good point Nate, but let's keep things in perspective.

Huge majorities of BOTH parties passed the bill, in fear of anthrax, and in absentia in the middle of the night.

To your point, the ONLY person in the Senate to vote against it was the Democrat Russ Feingold. They ran him out of office in the next election.

Large majorities of BOTH parties have renewed it numerous times.

It's a good thing I'm conceited about my Likes, otherwise I wouldn't have seen your message here, bud...

And I think by now that despite the fact that you and I don't agree on everything, we do seem to agree that the current incarnations of both your political parties aren't exactly acting entirely in the best interests of those they represent...unless you're a significant donor, I guess.
