It would be interesting to see what the interaction was before the video started. It would also be interesting to see a picture of the person that supposedly had a warrant.

I don't know whether the cops were being idiots or if the FBI guy was being an asshole...or a little of both.

Isn’t it standard procedure to ask for some form of identification long before things get this far?

Something odd with this? We need lots more information. I don't think an FBI agent would use the words he was using.
I might be wrong. What happened before they started taping the incident? Maybe they asked and the guy refused?

I have no idea of the veracity of the Tweet. The patches look like Rochester is one of the words on them, can’t find anything matching. The officers certainly removed the cuffs in a hurry.

Just the messenger.....

It certainly is. If the FBI guy simply identified himself as such it wouldn't have gone this far. There may, however, have been a reason the guy didn't want to identify himself and that could have been anything from him doing undercover work of some sort to the cops approach being aggressive.

Cops SHOULD be doing "field interviews" when there is all this rioting going on. How a cop goes about that process can lead to the type of interaction we saw in the video.

In most states you are not required to show id unless the police have a reasonable suspicion of a crime was committed by the person.

I want to see what reasonable suspicion the police the police had.

Doesn't matter. He's a law enforcement agent. He had no reason to act like an asshole to the cops.

They had no reasonable suspicion of him committing a crime. The cops professionalism sucked balls.

We can see the FBI agent was out with friends, the police had no reason to harass him, and he knew it. He of course pushed it, because it was his right to do so. He was making a point of Freedoms Americans are supposed to have.

In any case, all he had to do was show his FBI identification. Instead, he had to be an asshole.

He was out with friends, and we can see that, how much do you want to bet that one of his friends was another FBI agent. So yeah I am pretty sure that they had no reasonable suspicion he committed crime (beyond skin color)

I LOVE how these idiots jump in and start making excuses for the cops. THEY ****ED UP. They knew they ****ed up. This is what racial profiling looks like. They were harassing him because... wait for it... he was sitting while BLACK. NOTHING in the video excused the behavior. Nothing. No excuses. They did not follow any kind of standard behavior. I advised law enforcement agencies for 13+ years. This is text book ****-up. It could (will) be a training video.

OBVIOUSLY you are spouting off (big surprise) without even bothering to investigate as far as WATCHING THE VIDEO. The COPS said he looked like a guy who had a warrant. GEEZ, get your facts right before you go off making excuses about something you are completely ignorant of.
