    Death penalty would apply, but Wisconsin apparently doesn't have one in effect. Shame that is too, especially since a majority in the state want one.

    Don't you think life without the possibility of parole would be worse than the death penalty? Tim McVeigh thought so.

    As a person who is skeptical of government getting anything right every time, and with sooo many prisoners exonerated even years later, much as I find these types of crimes repugnant, I cannot support the death penalty. I do support life without parole.

    The only positive about the death penalty is it's plea bargaining power. Often murderers will tell where the bodies are if the death penalty is dropped and replaced with a life sentence.

    The death penalty is final, but sometimes mistakes are made. Not worth it.

    I also like seeing it used as a tool. The guy who shot my friend took a deal offering LWOP to avoid the DP. And, that is fine by me.
